Grow room or grow tent?

Hi ppl whats your thoughts on doing a grow room over a grow tent. I'm currently growing in 1.6x1.2x2.4 loft tent but feel like it's not big enough and find it difficult to work around when having to adjust lights, trim and lollypop plants etc. The toom that it's in is a spare room so could probably just hang the lights etc and be able to set up so I could actually walk around the plants. Only thing I'm concerned about is smell and humidity etc but would enjoy to have the freedom of movement. What's everyone's thoughts

Thanks :)
A grow room is great if you have the space available (obviously). I have a tent in my loft which is currently unoccupied my tent is 1m x 1m x 1.4m so not huge. I tend to only grow a single plant and even then only Auto's. Heating is a challenge at the moment, it is starting to get a bit chilly up there. The loft area is unheated and well insulated from the living areas below. So if you have a spare room which is being heated anyway you might as well make use of that otherwise wasted heat.

I'd use the room. More plants, can control heat, humidity. Control odor with carbon filter air purifier, plus you have more room to work and storage for growing equipment. Won't affect plants as long as lights are placed where they need to be. I wouldn't hesitate going with room I did it and am much happier having the room.

If I had a big room I would set up 4 tents in it. A small tent for germination & seedlings (or clones), a larger veg tent and the largest for flowering. Harvest every 2 months. The 4th optional tent is for a mother plant if I ever find that superweed that I want to clone.

You mean something like this?
I prefer the tents because it gives me more control over each tent individually and I can have multiple plants at multiple stages.
I wouldn't mind a room but then I'd probably just want another room 😅 😂 :laughtwo:

Tons of good points already tho about needing to scrub much more cfm to really get rid of the smell as noticeably as you would be able to in a tent.
That would be my biggest concern in my own situation.

Fantastic setup my friend. :thumb:
Do you have a smoke detector in there? :Namaste: Fire extinguisher?
Just don't want it happening to anyone else.
Take care.

Hey bill thanks for the advice ands heads up!
Also I’m sorry for that experience!

I take tidiness cable management and the overall setup of my grows extremely seriously!
Most of the tips in your thread I already practiced.
But it never hurts to double check and make sure there’s nothing more I can do to keep things as safe as possible!
Those fire suppression balls I had never seen before! I have multiple detectors and extinguishers on hand as well. Also I just went about replacing all my old equipment fans cords etc. so outside of my 2 tents on the left and my cobs everything else is new and fitted to proper specs like extension cords and arc fault breakers for both breakers I draw power from. Better safe than sorry
Again thank you for reaching out and the thread it’s a real issue not many people pay attention to or think could happen to them until it does unfortunately
