Grow medium mix

Just a question to whether it would be possible to use a mix of cocco fibre and soil. Would this hurt my girls growth? I am using soil designed nutes (plagron). Is this ok for use with cocco and soil mix? I was also thinking of using a large size gravel for a bottom layer for better oxygen uptake by roots, is that a good idea? It would be washed firstly.
If people could provide some insight into benefits drawbacks, many thanks

Sure you can use them together.The gravel(rocks) will give you good drainage,and for drawbacks as long as you stay on the manufactures recommended schedule for nutrients and don't over/under water then you should be fine.I would personally use all coco,for me coco grows better and is easier to flush.

OH one more thing,make sure you mix the soil and coco good or one will drain faster than the other and you could end up with dry pockets in the root zone that can stunt growth.Just my 2 cents...Solo

Thanx solo, much appreciated. One last thing is, is the ph the same for soil and cocco feeding?

Alright dude the ph is different but adding coco to soil you treat it as soil what the coco will do is improve the drainage an airation and you will have to start feeding sooner than straight soil
