Group Flip - May 10 2017 - Different Grows - All Welcome!

If it makes you feel better I've been following the way cannakitty does her defoliating (she left me a really great guide on my journal), so daily i just grab really big fan leaves and anything blocking bud sites (without going too overboard) but sometimes i look at the piles when I'm done and think "shit! I've gone too far!" Lol. But i agree with vesp your girls don't look like they are suffering and the buds are still growing so you must not have done any crazy damage.

Hey yo, sorry to be late getting here, so yeah the girls are all moved and even setted in. I needed the room in the veg tent, and I'll need the room in 2 weeks when 2 more girls move over.

Here they are under 600w HPS

That space is going to get pretty crowded soon! Looking awesome, Mr P. :high-five:

BK2 on the right is 16", WW2 on the left is 12". I topped each of them once at the 3rd node back in the day and THATS IT. As SweetSue told me, letting my first grow be more natural as a baseline is a good thing. In 2 weeks BK1 and WW1 will be moving over. Theyve had the same initial 3rd node topping as well as 4-6 newer top cuts. Maybe soon I'll be brave enough to start LST. Im also thinking of individual scrog nets for the 3 gallon pots. This is all still new to me so Im not in a rush. Just keep growing
Sue gave you good advice. Learn the basics first, then go out and play :)

Hey Jesse! Those girls are going to fill up that tent in no time! I'm excited to see our different results with all the variables! I've done topping, lst & a few major defoliating sessions... just can't keep my hands off of them... I've had to stop myself a couple times from checking on them already today! Lol

there, you are now handcuffed to the bathroom door :thedoubletake:

Did you do a ton of defoliating or is that just how the plant grew? I only ask because i get so nervous when defoliating even with all the amazing help I've gotten on the subject.
When I saw the defol, I knew immediately that I wanted to watch this one to the end. I keep hearing about heavy defol, but to watch one in action is going to be good.
Thanks again for joining MT!

Thanks SnarlyWeed she's a pretty good lady, but she was like whoa wait up you're taking away all my trim stuff for edibles!
And rightly so!!! Edibles has become my preferred method of consumption. I still toke and vape, but don't take my medibles away from me :thedoubletake:

So what are everyone's plans for humidity range during flowering? I just read an interesting thread on another grow forum, to paint everyone a quick picture it was titled "lies our forefathers told us" and it kicked around the idea of flowering rh being between 60-65% and many people agreeing saying they have had successful grows at that rh. Any thoughts?

I'm doing the best I can to get rh up to 35%, even sticking a bowl with a towel in front of the intake duct.

Damn man, my rh usually stays between 45-50% and i was worried about it being to high, like i just watered today and it'll stay at 50% for two days easily, and since the girls get thirsty snot every three days my humidity tends to stay in the 40s-50s. I'm just kinda blown away from the other forum because I've always heard to keep it low not high.

Hey Leo~ I wouldn't consider 50% "high," though... 70%+, I would worry~ I'm going to just see how it goes~ I haven't used my humidifier for awhile & my th stays between 45% & 50%. I'm just going to keep an eye out for mold~

When we get into the summer months, it can get quite warm here and the humidity rises. The portable AC in the room takes care of most of it, and I can turn up the exhaust if I need to.
