Hey Grizz. I have a Nikon coolpix L840. Pretty decent 'point and shoot' camera. I'm an old photo geek and have had some nice cameras that cost me a couple thousand. This camera does really well, I was surprised.

I just realised, I don't have the Internet, only my phone.. I don't think you can plug cameras into phones..

The one Heirloom mentioned I bought my daughter for Christmas. It has built in WiFi and NFC capabilities to share the pics from your camera to your smartphone, so it might be just the ticket you are looking for.

We didn't even know that feature when we bought it, but yeah it's kinda cool. Its an easy way for her to share photos with her friends rather than having to email everyone a copy.

Upgrade to a newer phone instead of forking out for a new camera, My Samsung S6 Edge takes an awesome shot straight out of the box and only cost me about $550au, I was also thinking about buying a camera before i got it but seriously the only thing i use my camera for is taking pics of my plants, with the phone i use it for just about everything

grizz you take the memory card out of the camera and put that in your phone ,well thats what ive been doing anyway or yeah get a super phone

If you are running a reasonably new android phone you can also buy an OTG cable for a couple of dollars, plugs into the phones charge port and other end is normal usb can plug just about anything into

edit.. just about any android phone running Android 3.1+
