Greenhouse Himalayan Gold 400W HPS Tent Grow

Re: Greenhouse Himalayan Gold 400wHPS Tent Grow

thanks for all the advice everyone! i've been keeping an eye out for bugs, and went and purchased a bug spray from the local garden store just to be on the safe side. havn't seen any more mites but have seen one or two little long white bugs so gave the ER's a spray. not sure what they were but plants look good:

1st off... the rootball from the 1st ER:

the 3 misc which i topped again as they were growing so fast.. keeping them in the shade seems to have helped slow them down a bit too i think:

okay so the '420 name the runt competition' continues....one of the HimaG's:

suggestions in by the end of the month please.. winning name wins erm... well, gets to name her! haha!!

a healthy HimaG:

and another:

and finally... Jane is looking/ smelling very nice indeed.. she's bulked up nicely now but is still shooting quite a few white pistils so might give her a few more days to mature... wish my x10 magnifying loupe had turned up so i could have a closer look at trichs!!

as the HimaG's could do with a few more days to veg i think the extra time will do Jane well... was going to cut her down tomorrow, but will let her live a little longer...

Dude, Jane looks sooooo good, bet you cant wait to chop! Looking forward to seeing them himalayan gold start to flourish too!

:goodluck:

Re: Greenhouse Himalayan Gold 400wHPS Tent Grow

Let them all veg a bit longer, 1-2 weeks to ensure ALL mites and eggs have had a chance to cycle thru and get nuked. The tent won't be too crowded for a while yet, and like you said, you can always go outdoors if it does. I would vote for each HG to be about 8-10 inches tall before flower. Remember, get the mites first, that is the priority.....

Alpine, once again those easy ryders look picture perfect! How are the Himalyan Gold looking now theyre under the lights?!

Re: Greenhouse Himalayan Gold 400wHPS Tent Grow

Alpine..just found your journal and wow!! great job on the ladies...Sorry to hear about your run in with mites....There is a product called Rasta Bob's Death mite that may work for you. Also with my battle with fungus gnats, I found out that making peppermint tea and using as a foliar spray is great for keeping these buggers away... Great that you got the little red chompers in there!!! I am tuned in for your next round and things look like there going well for you already!!! Cheers!!!

Hello everyone!

it's time for an UPDATE...

Icemud, thank you for the help and advice.. i think i have got rid of the mites now, but will have a look for that product you suggested..

everything seems to be going o.k so far.. a few of the ladies' lower leaves have browned and died off.. not sure how normal that is.. really hope it's not bugs again!!
the strongest 3 plants i transplanted into bigger pots (9ltr) going to re-pot the others in next few days once i have some more pots..
my girlfriends camera has stopped working so please excuse the shots, will try and get some better one's soon...

Looking good alpine, cant believe you got pre-flowers forming already! You certainly know how to get things moving with that setup :bravo: The himalayan gold look like the best specimens of the bunch, looking forward to you leading the way with these babies

cheers Spec.

had a couple of the misc turn hermie in the last week. not sure if it was due to the stress they suffered at seedling stage, when i topped them, or if it was due to another factor (nutes?temps?P.H? i dunno!).. so i'm now down to the 3 Himalayan Gold, one Misc. which is doing quite well, and one of my random bagseed plants that was on the deck but was showing small pistils already! (in July, WTF!!!) so anyway that's in there now just to see what happens!
still can't take pics but will post some soon once the new camera turns up..

If the Misc, were bag seeds its very possible it was gonna happen no matter what, IMO it was better that it hapened this early than later when you got nugs for them to fuck up :D

yo Green! like your hotline you set up! is a great idea. :high-five:

the misc. came from my friend, as he had some health problems it meant he couldn't keep them. they were all a bit stressed when they arrived, but did perk up once they'd had some tlc. he had them in those bio-pots, which i wasn't too sure about myself, but was all he had at the time. they are either White Rhino, Pineapple Chunk or BigBud, not sure which is which 'cos the writing washed off the pots, so it's a lucky dip with these!!
do you think the early stress could have caused them to hermie, or would it more likely have been something i did?? :hmmm:
anyways.. am glad they did show their male flowers early as you said.. could have been a nightmare if it was say week 8 of flowering!! (...seeds anyone??) i think not!!! this is a girl only party!! laters hermies!!

I'm gonna stop this thread now as i have pretty much had to abandon this grow.. high water P.H (8-8.6!!) went unoticed until i bought a digital meter. i knew it was high but not that high!! harvested some nice smoke off the ladies but the yield was significantly reduced. so... started another batch.. i'll create a new thread and post some pics of the newbies! got some Greenhouse White Rhino, feminised seeds WhiteWidowxBigBud, TH seeds Burmese Kush, and a G13 labs Purple Haze... should be interesting with a sativa thrown in.. (was a freebie) all are looking so much better than the last lot already.

until next time....
