Day 19... Grandpa’s still a little under the weather this morning, but I managed to get a res change completed. It was 10 days ago that it was changed—and could’ve gone a few more days probably—but I wanted to get it done. Didn’t feel like doing it, but it only takes me about 20-30 minutes at a slow pace. The only part I don’t like is that I need to siphon enough liquid past the pump to get it primed and pumping correctly again, after the new nutes are in. I always get a mouthful of nutes. Yummy.
Things are moving along. I bumped up EC on this res change and will probably try to keep it there for a while. Unless I notice they can’t handle what I’m giving them. I’m pretty sure they can take it.

Yet another reason to not use organics in RDWC. No one needs to know what bat and worm poo tastes like.

AK-48 from Nirvana. She’s a hearty one for sure. I’ll probably flower her and a few clones after my next GG run.
She has a base that seems similar to my Nukehead strain I am growing. She is a beast from a structural standpoint Gramps!! I didn't know they grew like that!

They do. They are extremely bushy stocky plants that throw huge cola's. One of the two I have growing is half the size of my Northern Lights and Jock Horror's and the bud mass is twice what the others are. The other one is not far behind. The only downside that I see with them is the leaves that they throw out is insane. Scroll back a little in GT's journal and you will see what happens if you let them go just a little bit. I was taking so much off in veg I was worried I would harm them and the next week I was doing it again.
The smoke reports that I have found from those that have grown the 48's has been very positive. Seeing what I am seeing in mine and other grows I am surprised they are not more popular. I am very satisfied Nirvana fan at this point. Every one of my plants is healthy and thriving. If I actually knew what I was doing The yields could be spectacular. My success from knowing nothing about growing is a tribute to their product. I am growing the RC's this fall so I am watching this intently. GT is killing it over here with the DWC.
