Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

So I made some shatter last week Grampa. I re read your words and got my shit together. Did 2 batches. The first came out dry. I flaked it off the pan. Delicious and very powerful! Second run I changed things up some and it came out very nice. Nice light color, dried up nice after a while. Smokes good and another level of flavor and high. Speak of yummy! I'm getting spoiled. Made some hash that week too. I learned one thing from your recipe. That is there are many many more skills needed to make these extra curricular smokables than first appears. One day when I can do this 2 or 3 times in a row I'll get back to you. Much Thanks!!!

That’s awesome @stoneotter I love your initiative. It took me more than a few times to get really good stuff. I’ve wasted more weed than I care to share. Anyway, I’m getting ready to make a huge batch with my Rosin squeeze pucks. I’ll take some pictures and share here when I get to it. Cheers bud!

SQUEEZING IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY NOW Maybe someday.

I would be carful bringing it inside. Could get over run with insects.

I thought of that as well. I have several kinds of insecticides to use if I do it. This thing flowers in 8 weeks from flip. I could use the bud. My problem is it’s too hot here right now. I could flower at night, but it’s still too warm without air conditioning. I’m going to have to wait till it cools down anyway.

Hope all is well in your world Gramps! Cheers brother!

I’m doing very well my friend, thanks for asking. I’ve been hitting the PT trail hard. It’s been six weeks since I started my routine and I’ve managed to take off 14 pounds of fat and put on a little muscle (just a tiny bit over 2 lbs a week, which is what I am shooting for). My endurance, muscle tone, and overall fitness levels have increased astronomically in such a short amount of time. I feel absolutely fantastic. Compared to what I was feeling before the meat cleaver to the chest...like night and day!

I’ll caveat that by saying I am hitting it hard. I’ve been with a group of people at the cardiac rehab, (meaning we all had open heart surgery around the same time and we are all recovering around the same time) and some of them are afraid to work their heart—understandably so. However, I’ve learned this the hard way...you gotta work your heart. It won’t be more fit by thinking about it. It took me awhile to RE-Learn that one. As long as the doctor says it’s okay then I’m pushing it to the limit. I’ve completely passed all of my fellow heart patient friends. Some of them just physically can’t do what I’m doing because they’re old and broke, but some are simply afraid. I was too at the beginning and I understand the apprehension...trust me. I think because I was in good shape most of my life it’s somewhat easier to get back into the groove.

I’m still doing cardio 3 times per week, lifting weights 3 times per week, and walking a minimum of 8000 steps per day. I eat 5 to 6 small meals per day (high protein). Sunday is free day! On Sunday I eat what I want and don’t workout. Instead, I’ve been hiking, boating, fishing, etc. Today, however, I’m cleaning a barn and moving some equipment at a friend’s place. I’d rather be fishing...

Proud of you brother. I am down from 250 to 225 which is close to my fighting weight (210-220 range). I do what the nerve pain in the back let's me and then I push it a bit further. Would love to get to do more but I will take what I can get.
