It just occurred to me this am that I have been calling you pops, and I had this paranoid minute where I thought I should be a little more respectful... I have an older friend that i call pops as well so I just kinda went with it... So anyway, Your garden is setting up nice and healthy like... Along the lines of harvest weights, with only being an outdoor grower those totals per plant seem extremely low... Thus I am a noob on the indoor harvest and am seriously soaking in any and all knowledge on here about but definately not limited to Seed germ. to Harvest timings and procedures... Green days all

I have couple dozen free range chickens. Probably wipe out my crop :) plus I have a crazy neighbor who would complain. It's medically legal here, I just don't think it's worth the hassle

I may throw an auto outside this year. I definitely have the room, and there’s nobody that will see it.

No issues with calling me pops, or whatever. I’m used to it. I don’t get offended easily. Yeah, big difference from outdoor I know, but it’s all about the environment. Hard to replicate Mother Nature. At least it is for me.

I still haven’t gotten new chicks. I’ll probably wait till my trip is complete. I miss having them though.

Mostly local. My wife’s relatives are coming over from Europe. 1st time across the pond for a few of them. We’re driving all over and eventually wind up in Vegas...story of my life. :ganjamon:

Ahh! Those are hydroton they give a stable platform for the roots to form/grow through. They are porous and hold oxygen and water as well. Otherwise you’d just be putting a cutting into a vase of water...sort of. I do run an air stone in each bucket and one in the res too...so there’s plenty of dissolved oxygen.

GT, do you know of anyone running that electrolysis one that makes oxygen (splits the water for hydrogen and oxygen)?

Like an O2 grow

I don’t. I’ve seen something like that on YouTube. I’m way too simple...simpleminded. LOL!
 
I just figured it would really work well for the roots. Probably never get root rot and could supercharge the plants growth....but the prices........... don't go looking without a pacemaker....

I looked at them as well a while back when researching DWC. One would thing that since you are separating the hydrogen and oxygen molecules that The hydrogen would revert back to a gaseous state like the oxygen and bubble out into the atmosphere. That made me wonder what effect it would have on the evaporation rate of the bucket.

With the air pump you are just introducing into water. My take on it in the end is that air pumps are cheap and readily available if one goes down. Every pet store has them to at least get you by until you can repair or replace your higher end unit.

In any event GT and some of the others really make the DWC/RDWC look pretty straight forward and the results are hard to disagree with. :)
