Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

I appreciate the sentiments gang. I’ve had several pets during my lifetime, but this little guy was attached to our hearts like no other. My wife is hurting a great deal and that makes it worse for me.

Time for reflection. It’s all good. I’m taking a break from routine while I visit doctors and grieve. 4 appointments in 6 days plus this tragedy is causing me some serious angst. Good thing I grow my own weed...this stress would cost me a fortune.

That shirt is going to be huge on the new you!
You’re right. My wife said the same thing. I put it on and it’s huge. I’m not complaining though.

One of my doctors was impressed while comparing MRIs this morning. I did a new scan this week and the time before that was in 2016 when I was 285 lbs (I’m currently 189 lbs). She showed me the difference in fat loss and muscle gain comparing both scans. Huge difference! Especially muscle gains around my spine which was pleasantly surprising. She pointed out what a great accomplishment it is and that it’s not easy with 5 crushed vertebrates, a heart attack, and quad bypass open heart surgery.

I still have a long way to go, but I’m very pleased with my progress. I know this sounds cliche, but “if I can do it...” Seriously!

A metric shit-ton of rosin helped. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sorry to hear about your cat GT. Pets are like one of the family and it’s heart breaking when they’re gone.
Hope what the doctor said cheered you up a little because that’s fantastic news and a great accomplishment.

I’ve been a busy old guy lately. Doctors appointments and more...yippee! Now I find out my baby daughter is getting married! It’s not for a year, but she’s already got her little fingers in my wallet... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Actually I knew this would happen. The kid she’s marrying is a really good guy and works hard. I like him and we go shooting together so I figured he’d get around to asking her. I’m happy for both of them. It’s going to be a fun year.

I got to keep working out so I look good in a tux.

Hey GT, hope everything good on your side of the mountain. Fucking horrible here, been out of power for 48 hours n sounds like another day or 2 before power restored. 42° in the house this morning, all the plants are suffering badly. Been trying to stay awake so I can keep clones alive, having to spray roots every 30 minutes.....fucking shit show here.

That sucks bud. I keep saying I need a generator just in case that happens here. We’ve had the mildest winter I’ve ever seen down this way. I sure hope it gets fixed soon bud.

I plan on getting a generator direct wired so if power goes out it kicks on. I did go pick up a battery n a converter. I got the water, air n a small LED on the clones.
Heat, lighting, running water are all great but it's the small things ya don't realize the importance of.....like pooping in a toilet with a warm seat!

Candy?

I’m still working my body daily. I’m now only one pound away from 100 lbs lost. It’s getting tougher to lose the weight, but I look sexy as hell nonetheless. :cheesygrinsmiley: More importantly, I feel incredible. I’m still old and broke, but I feel really good and my mobility has increased tenfold.

I know I “preach” a lot about my fitness journey, but I can’t help it. I also know this is a weed growing journal and I’ve basically turned it into my weight loss blog. I understand completely, but my fitness journey, growing weed, and my consumption of THC have all played a huge role in my recovery from 6 crushed vertebrates, disk degenerative problems, a heart attack, and quadruple bypass open heart surgery.

It’s a miracle plant!
