Yup. When they lay you open like that the recovery sucks but you're experiencing the worst of it now. Every day from here on out you will be getting better. Try not to laugh (tough for you) or cough. Sounds like you are doing what you're being told. Just glad to see you make it through that. You are so lucky that granny got you to the hospital when she did.

Nice thing is that after the pain settles down you will feel a lot better. Everyone that I know that has been through it says that they can't belive they went on as long as they did not feeling well.

As for the staff....lol yeah they are not the typical everyday nursing staff. They don't put slackers in CCU. They do care that is why they are there. They get off on you getting better in the same way as we get off on growing plants.
 
Glad to hear everything went well GT , rest and a few buds for pain relief and you will be back fighting fit soon...
