Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

How does the rosin "know" to go out the front where the opening in the parchment is? Wouldn't it be better if both sides were open and it could ooze out front or back? After all, the pressure is 360º, shouldn't the oozing be as well?

It just knows. LOL!

The oil will always take the path of least resistance. I purposely adjust the pucks closer to the front slightly so I can see the flow for the video.

That means the oil that wants to head out the back of the puck has to work its way around to the sides? Just for shits and giggles science, what would happen if you laid one piece of paper on top and one on the bottom and let it ooze out both sides?

Depending on the amount, the weed, how it was grown, etc., it will ooze out all 4 sides. Guaranteed. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Might be more yield! Can't be less, true?

I don’t worry about it. Whatever is left in the pucks gets the alcohol wash. What you’re saying does seem logical though.

Dayum! Something ate all my heirloom tomatoes...right off the plant. Yesterday evening there were 4 very nice sized tomatoes—maybe two weeks from being red ripe—and 2-3 smaller ones that would’ve been ready later. Whatever it was, ate only the heirlooms and not the cherry tomatoes. It took them off the plant! Never had that happen before.

I can’t blame the dingos this time. Deer can’t get in there unless someone left the gate open...I don’t remember if it was open or closed when I went to check on them this morning. I’m pretty sure it was closed. The only other non-human culprits, around here, would be birds (not likely), and raccoons (highly likely).

I’m actually shocked. :thedoubletake:

My Dark Devil Auto is beginning to flower with some deep purple, almost black. Looks nice. I hope she gets a little bigger.

Yes T5 shop lights with veg spectrum bulbs. I have two fixtures, 2’x4’ x 8-light, but I put T5 LED bulbs every other slot. Anyway, I’ve always used them and they are cheap to run. They’re awesome for my small little grow space.

I gave the outside DDA some flower nutes for the first time this morning. You can see something is eating the leaves. I hope she’ll make it to full budness because she’s starting to look mighty pretty...minus the bug bites. Enjoy!

She’s just gonna get more beautiful every day from here on out! Love growing the DDA
