Grandpa Tokin’s Perpetual

Sorry to here about the back problems. Just make sure you don't think you need to do work outs until the back is in order. It's the core of your workouts. In due time I'm sure you'll be able to get to that <200 lbs. Just don't start back to soon and mess up what you already worked so hard for. In my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
I remember back in August @Duggan posted some neat low stress core exercises that are done lying down. I wanted to make sure I remembered them so I bookmarked them in Van's thread:
Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Haven't done them yet because I'm even too lazy to do exercises on the floor! Still, thought I'd share.

I hope the back heals up soon Grandpa, and congrats on the weight loss too :thumb:.

Thanks! I’m actually doing okay. I can walk and still do my chores which could not have been done the last time this happened. The fitness routine really is paying off. Core work is the key...I’m convinced of that.

Here’s a little update from my garden: I gave the GG4 Mom a huge chop today...butchered is more applicable. She’ll bounce back quickly:

The GSC and Bubblelicious are just about ready to take some clones. I may do that this week or next. I’d like to run the GSC in the RDWC next so I better get it done soon.

The Mystery Auto is getting huge:

Interested in the Bubblecious, wondering if it has the bubblegum terps

I’m planning on running a clone as a single when the Mystery Auto is done. The last one I grew was very good in the taste department. Not bubble gum, but really good. I hope I get something like that again.

Your core exercise program sure showed up with that little back tweak, did not take long to be feeling better. With your unknown push's I have lost 25 lbs in the last 6 months. That has all been just from watching what and how much I eat. The next push may be to hang a chainsaw pic on the fridge.

You’re a f*cking beast! That is so awesome my friend. I love to hear things like that. I’m proud of you.

I’m thoroughly convinced that this fitness thing has already saved my life (dramatic license) more than once. What I mean really is not only does it help with recovery times, but also stability, coordination, strength, and naturally cardiovascular endurance. That’s just the tip though...the emotional uplift is where I find the most benefit. That overall feel of well-being is always there...even when I’m sick or injured. My back is still not 100% and I’m still suffering some sinus problems, but I was able to do a light upper body yesterday. This morning I started harvesting the tops (I consider harvesting a back workout and a mental strain )...last year at this time there is no way in heck I could’ve done anything remotely close to that.

As you have already noted just a little bit of change for the better can make a huge difference. I’m still trying my best to look like the Rock...again. :welldone:

I began harvesting today. I took most of the tops this morning and probably finish everything tomorrow. I’ve been watching this one particular bud for several weeks. She was hanging down and touching the side of the bucket. For about 2 weeks she was getting a lot less light. I’m very pleased at how well these LEDs penetrate the canopy. This was the lowest bud from both plants. Enjoy!

I started harvesting and draining the system earlier this morning. I forgot how much I hate trimming...
However, even with a slight back tweak going on I was able to get it all done.

Probably won’t be as much as I thought originally, but still more than enough for one old guy. The nugs look like some sort of desert cactus flower to me. They are all golf ball or grenade size chunks of goodness. They’re solid too, and just coated in trichs. I’m really looking forward to smoking this stuff. The tester branch I took should be smokable in another week or so. Good thing too because I’m almost out.

As soon as the system is dry I’m going to disassemble it and clean each piece. There’s always residue so I like to clean as much as I can. It’s usually not that bad though. Anyway, I’m glad that’s done.

Here’s a few pictures from this morning. Enjoy!
