Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

Anyone know how long you can keep Rosin?
Can keep FECO for a long time.

Ditto there my friend!

When smoking cannabis flower, 75% joints/25% bowls, I consume on average around 2 grams +/-, a day, so around two zips a month. Never a worry of running out with two grows a year. This has really been a strain on my lungs of late. Now vaping Rosin using a Quartz straw I am smoking a hell of a lot less and getting higher and my lungs feel better, not near as much coughing.
Counting this mornings run of G13 Haze, 7 grams = 1.313 grams, I believe I will be averaging around 1.2 grams per run.
So that would be 4.8 grams/28 grams cannabis.
Hell I don't see myself doing approx. 5 grams of Rosin every 15 days or 1/3 of a gram a day.

I am cleaning out my library stash, about 1.2 lbs of smokable buds from my last 6 grows, added to about 1.5 lbs for this last harvest. They have been well cured and stored in Bell jars with 62% Boveda packs. Of that I had planned on using 1.5 pounds to make FECO. Now if I make half of the remaining stash, 18 zips, into Rosin that would be about 9 zips for Rosin or 43 grams, leaving me 6 zips for joints, and leave me 3 extra zips to add to my FECO. What a Win/Win situation.

Conclusion:
I am very stoned at present, but I see it as being able to have more cannabis, Rosin/Flower, to make more FECO, my Medicine of choice. Now thanks to the Rosin I will be making around 27 plus zips into FECO. I also have bags of untrimmed buds and sugar leaf that will go into FECO. That should make me around 170 grams of Cold Processed FECO. Though I used it as Med's, now I use 0.1 to 0.2 grams a day for wellness. I also give it to people in need. I work with a group of young vets with issues, mostly PTSD, give them pot, teaching them how to grow and to make FECO. Most of this group have moved on, they still keep in touch, most are better growers than I am.

I believe every person over 50 should take 0.1 plus grams/day for general wellness and attitude adjustment :)

I think I will proof read this a few times.
Your cool as hell for doing that! Thanks for offering support to our vets that suffer.
:high-five:

Some guy said he smashed a years worth for him and his old lady. He said it was great. I would think a year in the freezer is no problem. After a year, I think I would watch it monthly.

Awesome! Simply awesome.

I’ve kept some in the freezer for about 3 months, but that was the longest. It kept getting smoked...imagine that! I’m betting a silicon container, inside a vacuum sealed bag, in the freezer would last a long time.

@ BobbyZ

Just ordered 10 - 22 ml silicone containers so going to try and put some Rosin in one, then vacuum seal the container and freeze it. Will make up most of the Rosin I want to make from my last freshest harvest but keep a couple of zips to see how the press will do on older cannabis.
The G13 Haze I pressed today was harvested in August 17', so a 1.75 years and I got 1.313 grams. I know smoking it my GF, my tester, still gets plenty high. I do like Bell jars and Boveda packs.
Last May on my GF and my anniversary I had found a pint jar that had one bud of Critical Kush and a Boveda. It had been in the jar and sealed with my Food Saver jar attachment. It still had vacuum on it and the Boveda was still soft no feel of salts and the bud still had good texture and smell. Got a good buzz of that. What a treat.

Finding an old bud is like finding a forgotten $20 bill in your pocket. Treat is right!

Or finding an old GF's phone number, and find out she is still single! :)

I did it the other day and just got a little. Not enough to worry about doing second presses. But if your like me, you'll have to prove it for yourself.

The ideas are swirling in my head, but I believe I will first try a few in frozen Russian 190 proof. Let soak a bit and strain. Then reduce and decarb.

I was wondering what tools to use for rosin collection. I took my best guess at it and ordered some from e-Bay. They were $2 - $3 apiece. The last ones just arrived...

I think the left end of the T28-1 will probably be best. What are your thoughts?

Imo I would think the bottom two would be better cause they have the lil pointy ends for if u get the more tacky kind of rosin versus the harder more shatter like it's easier to drip on the bowl or to put on the top of a packed bowl of flowers either way tho they all would essentially work lol. Hey check out my new dabber tool it even comes with a bowl cap it can screw into so it can even stand up on it's own lol.

I stayed away from that one, as I thought it might have too short of a handle. That's just inexperience talking.

U mean the samurai sword one I got? That's what I thought after i got it an b4 it showed up i was like oh i hope it's not to short lol but once i got its actually solid it comes with alil box that says it's a 100% titanium or sum such nonsense to make people think they got something super good lol.

Titanium doesn't give off toxic fumes when heated to high temps.

Oh hey look at that learn sumthn new every day and what do u know they actually did sell me a good deal then hahaha zhit if it alows for safe use at "high" temps (ha see what I did there lol) then it should be safe for me to use atleast theoretically anyway lol ok I'm high am rambling now :rofl:

I can’t believe everyone’s not doing this. I feel like we have a secret. :laughtwo:
I was busy with work today, but I plan on doing two 7 gram squish side by side and together. My plates are 3x7. I want to see a rosin waterfall.
:bong:

exactly, I use a Titanium tool in a banger all the time, no issues.

Now if it's anodized....hmmmmm. That is a depends.

For collecting tools, Skilletoolz or something like that has a SS scoop/blade that is just about perfect. Or just find a grinding wheel and make your own from a larger instrument.
