Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

I'm not a fan of using solvents, although ethanol would be my second choice after CO2. My reasons are safety, and the cost of ethanol here in Canada.

If you have a MBM, you could squeeze without the filter, and then do an infusion using the pucks and coconut oil.

MBM?

Smoking weed is something I enjoyed until my body couldn’t take the smoke for some reason. I still crave a good joint every now and then. However, dabbing rosin doesn’t hit my lungs as much as green and I enjoy the high very much. Win-win! Anyway, nowadays I jump between dabs and edibles daily.

I just squished this a little while ago...

Yeah, you youngsters can still do all the good stuff, :)

It's not the 56 yrs of cannabis smoking, it's the 35 plus yrs of tobacco that got my ass. Dabbing Rosin at first was much better on my lungs but the amt I had to vape got to me. So now it editables, caps, occasional vape, and a bowl at bedtime.

Yes I have been reading her thread. I made a batch of oil using coconut oil, Sunflower Liquid Lecithin and cannabis. Instant Pot for a good period of time. Let it cool in the fridge but when I heated it in the oven to melt I knocked the jar over and spilt about 2 cups of the oil on the bottom of my stove.
I used some for making gummies and the rest went into caps.

GT, how long does it take you to feel an effect from your gel caps? Are they enough to relax you or do they actually elevate you? I'm thinking I might wanna start making them.

Not GT but,
I use the caps for pain and relaxation. It all depends on whether it's Indica or sativa as to how it will affect you.
The best oil I have made was when I did my prostate protocol, went to friend in NorCal who grows medical for dispensaries in San Fran, picked up two pounds of 7 different strains of Indica. It made 140 plus grams of FECO. What good medicine!

Wow, was digging through my freezer try to decide what I am cooking today and found some cannabutter I had made earlier this year. Made some Grits with bacon, peppers and onions, fried eggs in butter and cannabutter, waiting for the results. :)

Usually it takes 45 minutes to an hour until I feel the effects. The high—as @gr865 suggested—all depends on the weed. I personally enjoy an indica dominant for capsules/edibles because it relaxes me for sleeping...but I’m normally not picky either. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Next grow, this coming fall is going to be a Sativa Dom, Barneys Farm LSD, grew it a few yrs ago and it is some trippy shit. I made some FECO out of it and it was divine, I still have some smoke from that grow and it made some great Rosin also. 5 plants from that grow did 28 zips.

How did it turn out?
I use the IP for infusion (High pressure for 2.5 hrs per run, double boiler method). Run it two or three time and let it cool to room temp between runs and shake/mix the hell out of it. Also those spent pucks can help give it a boost.
:p

Grandpa how's it going :passitleft: I'm building a press. What size bags do you use for keif
S’up Dank! I’ve used 25 micron. I’ve even doubled with 25 and 160. Depends on the kief and amount. Anyway, glad you’re here. Can’t wait to see the press too.

Thanks Grandpa for the info. I have a set of dabpress plates coming. I also have a 6 ton table top press I'll be using. I don't know much about pressing yet but I have been researching info while in quarantine. Hopefully I'll be squishing within a week :)

Firing mine up right now
