Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

The Dabpress dp-pm3015r pre-press mold showed up today. I didn't realize it comes with 40 of the 160 micron 2" X 4" filter bags. Nice bonus!

I like the plug for the bottom of the mold. It will keep the puck in the mold while I apply pressure with a clamp. The 30mm stainless steel version doesn't come with one. I also like that the weight is far less than the stainless steel version. I'm thinking of tossing the plunger into the lathe, and scribing lines on it to indicate the puck height. A cradle for the mold on the clamp also seems like a good idea. I'll give it some time and think about it a little more. I've got lots of other jobs to do before winter sets in.

I noticed when I do a lot of pucks they would expand a little. So I’ve been snugging them with a C- clamp , my vice is a Mickey Mouse 5” and won’t open wide enough . When I do that they stay packed tight !

So everything came in last night and I felt like such a noob. But I was able to get .7 out of an 8th so not too bad for a first press. And of course I had to rip it and it taste so good. I still have a bunch to learn but I can’t wait to get off work to go squish some more.

Congratulations on that purchase. May you be as happy with it, as I am with mine. Don't forget to do a review. They'll send you a free gift. Mine was the Dab Tool Kit.

Time for a squishing. @MadMoustache365
I’ll do two presses both with two pucks . First is 5 grams each . With a little squeeze by the C-clamp .
