Grand Daddy Black Grows A Stack

That's funny. They look great, but they don't look 7ft great ;) I still can't get over how healthy the dots-fed clones look. Beautiful.

I was thinking that myself a few days ago, like 7 feet off the soil? That tent must be 12 feet tall
IKR, my ceilings aren't even 12 feet tall! :laughtwo:

Hello growers.

It's Flip + 30 for the clones and I'm seeing the first hiccup from the Dotted plants.

Both the Black Cherry Pie clones are showing yellowing lower leaves in what appears to be a nitrogen deficiency. This happened fast too.

It started yesterday and progressed rather quickly on the larger one.

The smaller one has fewer yellow leaves but they are there too.

At the same time the Kera Bubblegum clone remains all green.

All of them were prepped at the same time and in the same way. They've all been getting fed with the same water at the same time. And all have been give Recharge on the same days.

I'm at a lost to explain it, but I have contacted the Recharge folks seeking their opinion.

@DeeBoy have you ever seen this occur with your Dot grows?

I had some plants show the same thing on an experiment I'm running so I topped them with worm castings. Took about a week but the color is coming back to a nicer shade of green.

But you'd have to use more than your usual 1/4 teaspoon of castings! :p

Why I put firewood ash in my dirt or sprinkle on top of the soil let it soak down

I don't see how that could do any harm. They're due their next dose of Recharge tonight. I'll put some castings on top of the soil beforehand.

And I'll use a tablespoon to measure it out rather than a teaspoon! (And I won't warm them.) :laughtwo:

I would just take off this leaves. To be honest. Main reason thier dead dying is cause they mature fan leaves.. they die later anyway. Especially ones near bottom. I n ver keep a weak or damage leaf plant etc . Not worth the mental strain trying figure out what's wrong when nothing wrong with the plant.9 out of ten

Or cups. You could use cups to measure it.

Taking them off doesn't give me a chance to see how widespread it's getting Dust. Plus, they are well on their way to falling off on their own!

Thanks for stopping by rocker! :Rasta:

Oh u will know regardless bro. But I got ya. Need help identifying it . Glad to help.

Yeah, MIGHT be lack of light hitting them, so they kill themselves off, or empty their reserves to fall off on purpose because they render themselves useless.

Other then that, they look great GDB

and thanks for the reminder of recharge, i missed my Friday dose.

I would love for that to be the case Mayne!

Regarding the Recharge, I have a weekly reminder set on my cell phone that reminds me to do it. :Rasta:

Plus, whatever they're taking from the yellowing leaves is still going to be taken from somewhere so, if you take off the leaves showing a deficiency too early, it'll just spread to the next leaves up until you resolve the problem. It's not going to go away just because you took off the leaves that weren't as healthy as you'd like. You have to address the issue or it will spread.

That is absolutely true bro. Didn't cross my file cabinet there. . so true. Getter done bro. Need help know where I am. Get back fig what I'm going to eat for lunch.

what appears to be a nitrogen deficiency.
Maybe the "N" dots timed out? :hmmmm:
I'm interested to see how this goes, My next grow will be with "The Dots"...
I've got no problem adding a bit of supplemental N, if that's what it takes...

You may be right @Carcass. I think he did say something about the N being preloaded and actually scheduled to decrease as you got further into the grow.

*******

EDIT: Yep, here's a post from earlier in the thread...

"It's touted to be a water-only fertilizer solution from seed to harvest. It's a bunch on multi-colored pebbles that contain different nutes, and they are said to be time released at the proper stage of the grow, based on the temperature of the grow environment. The nitrogen pebbles kick in early and fade out late, while the PK stuff is ever-present but increases later in the grow. And everything fades out after 12 weeks. (They add, "eliminating the need to flush your plants before harvest." :laughtwo: )"

As plant flowers more it will pull . Most time phosphorus goes first. Why yellowing bottom leaves starts. Then nitrogen then gets pulled as phosphorus gets start being low. In most plants.. see it in corn plants. Alot noticeable. These plants. It happens. Late late in almost amber stage. It starts but most people have good dirt also.

According to their site, the N dots do fade away between weeks 5-6. These are beginning on week 8, so you are correct Carcass. It seems that the plants are merely reacting to that change. I expect to see the Kera clone drop some leaves soon too. So I no longer think this is a sign of any "problem." It just shook me because I had gotten used to seeing the flawless and then it happened so quickly.

When I fed her last night, those yellowing leaves were "pluckable," meaning I could just pluck them and they would fall off. So that's what I did.

Still, I took the suggestion of @Azimuth and topped each of the plants with about 1/2 cup of worm castings before dosing them with Recharge @ 2.5g per gallon, just because I was still unsure of things last night .

Other than those few leaves, the plants remain healthy looking. (MC-fed plant is front right, getting left further and further behind height-wise.)
