Got My Feet Wet Now It's Time To Dive In

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

Just read through your journal, good job your harvest! And your old memories your sharing are very cool :) thanks!

If you were decide to start another seed maybe consider starting one like I did.. The beginning of my journal explains how I started mine and it's growing great! Of course you would put yours into soil unless you wanted to try hydro (super easy)! Mine is 18 days old today and looks quite a bit older compared to some other teens I've seen that are the same age. This is the first time I've successfully started a good seedling and it couldn't have been easier (i usually get clones).

+rep for the grow and sharing your memories :)

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

so I broke the sissors out, and I got real close to topping my ak. then I opened the sissors pulled the fans out of the way and and and I think I did a perfect ubt:) as far as the css plant, I was wanting to take a clone from her and silly as it may sound... I just couldnt cut her:( I have planed to take her top for the clone. but I'am worried about my skills as far as cloning goes.lol so I dont know why cause I know I'am gonna top her anyway. I geuss what I need is Dr.Phill to help me make the cut. geeez what to do? man this is just like when I went for my vasectomy. I canceld like 3 times before I got it.:)

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

No way! Queen! A woman that doesn't know what to talk about?

Actually your move was a pretty good story for us to read, but not to live! ..... Hope you know what I mean! I just couldn't believe some of the trouble you had...like sleeping on the floor.
:smokin:

The move from hell, OMG, I don't even wanna talk about that for a long time. Sleeping on the floor reminded me that my body is not what it use to be...lol.. And me quiet, you're right about that. When I get quiet, the first thing the bf asks is what's wrong but usually when I am quiet my mind is going constantly. I am always thinking about things.

and you are right again OMM. queen's story was scary. still gives me goose bumps thinking about moving.

More tragic than scary really, though the move is over, I still got issues going on with these damn people.

hey hey queen! stories dont have to be happy or even funny. even bad things are good to share

I took your advice and started a story but you already know. Maybe my next story will be about my childhood a lil. But I am glad I took your advice, it is like therapy for me.

Love ya Queen! A story about your childhood sounds great. By the way story telling helps you to get things straight in your mind too. You also learn much about your self and how you deal with things.

Try this sometime. Write your life story and put it away.....then read it a few years later....you'll be surprised by the things you said that were wrong. We learn more everyday and grow. I have done it 4 times and each was way different from the last. We have grown in those years...usually we become more honest with our ourselves.

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

I maybe one of those lemmings following the others off the cliff but the info that I have gotten here is how I determined when to chop. I rekon though as you said its what kind of effect you want.I wonder if like picking an almost ripe tomato then letting it sit it will continue to ripen. sure it does but if I go pick the tomato thats deep red and ripe on the vine and taste both the one on the vine always tastes better. so after my rant. thats the way I base harvest time. not a master grower either by no means. but this is my logic. when you do harvest I hope you are happy with what you have done because your the only one that matters:peace:

@queen, years ago we always went on the fact that when most to all of the pistils had turned orange it was time to harvest, but now im told it all depends what type of smoke you want, ie harvest early for an energetic type high, or harvest late for a couch lock type high, most growers now go on the colour of the trics, when most are milky they say thats then its at its best and ready to harvest, if you harvest before all are milky and most are still clear then you will get the energetic high but not sure how true this is, but if you let them go further than milky to the point where there turning an orange colour then this gives you the couch lock effect,

its more of a science now, years ago we harvested when we thought it was ready or by the look of the leaves, now im going to go on the colour of the trichs, when most to all are cloudy thats when i plan on harvesting, but my question is this, how do people know the plants at its best when most are milky, has their been any testing done, what if the truth was that just as their turning milky is the time to harvest and not after they have turned milky, to me it sounds like when the trics are clear they are healthy and normal, but when they turn milky then is this a sign the plant is going to far and starting to come to the end of its life cuz after they turn milky they go a brown colour and the shape of the trics change as they wilt so to speak, so how do growers know for sure that its best to harvest when all are milky and not when they are starting to turn milky, im going to do a simple smoke test with both of my plants in flower, i plan on harvesting when the plants trics are milky as im told this is the best, but when they are just turning from clear to milky im going to take a bud and cure it properly then when i harvest the rest of the plant ill get a couple of people to have a smoke with me and ask then what they think is the best smoke, i wont say anything about when i harvested ill just be asking them what they think is the best smoke, so thats my plan anyway, plus i can smoke it myself and find out, ill dry and cure it before the test so no rapid dry method ill do it all properly and compare the difference for myself

Great conversation here. Ok I dont like bud that makes me too couch locked, I prefer the high energy buzz. I think what I might do with my harvest is harvest some early and some later and compare. (Assuming I even get females and by some miracle harvest them successfully haha).

Ok, I still haven't gotten this multiple quote stuff down yet. I just lost my reply to fish...Honestly, OMM, I don't remember all my childhood, at least not the early years. From age 9-12 I was in fosters homes, I got adopted when I was 12. If I wrote a story it would have to go from that age on anything before that time I only know about because my oldest sister told me some things. But I agree, as I have gotten older, I have grown and I see just how strong a person I am. I have my moments when I tend to feel overwhelmed by things but then I give myself a reality check and remind myself where I came from just two short years ago. Also that there is always someone doing worse than me.

Hi Queen.

I've never mastered multiple quotes and I have been here a long time. Don't feel bad.:reading420magazine:

Amazing, we have had similar lives. I was adopted when I was one, both my adopted parents died when I was 12, Was in an orphanage for a few years, I kept ruining away...to where I don't know? Finally ended up in Juvenal Hall for year.

As they say, if it don't kill you, you will be stronger. Glad we both made it to here! You are strong my dear freind!

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

so I was thinking how nice it would be to groom the ak a bit.but shes so nice I cant bring myself to doit. there isnt a bad leaf anywhere to give me the guts. strange was never worried about it before on my other grows. on another note do you have to have rooting compound to make a clone? I was thinking about taking a big chunk off the top of the css and making a mother out of it. or should it be a lower branch? I saw some rooting gel at the nursery but it was kind of pricey like $30 for a little jar ouch. I was hopeing that maybe I could just stick the cutting in a jiffy peat pod. or should I break down and spend the extra cabbage on the gel?:circle-of-love:

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in

No, you don't. I have done clones with and without, just takes a little longer. Yeah, they can be pricey, I bought a packet of clonex for about 7 bucks. The guy at the garden store told me I could make a lot of clones from that one packet. I still have the clonex and so far have made 3 clones from it. Plan on using it when the time comes to clone that ak.

Re: Got my feet wet now its time to dive in
