Got My Feet Wet Now It's Time To Dive In

the autos i have been trying are finished in less than 2 months, but i got between 20g and 1.25oz, but i just planted another 3 so ill see what happens with them, last time i had them in smaller pots due to everything i had read, but i know for a fact both the autos that i grew would of been much bigger if i grew them in the same size pots as my regular plants, the autos in the smaller pots only really got as big as the pot, they was the same height as the pot and only grew out as wide as the pot, but both them autos where slow growing, the one i got sprouted is growing like a normal plant so hoping its going to be a big bigger, so after i harvested my plants in flower now, ill then have the 3 autos to flower while my next round of plants are in veg
 
Hmm, the more I hear the more I am liking the idea of autos. I could get some now that would be done before the ones outside. I am seriously considering this unless they're too expensive.
 
their not that expensive mate, go to herbies and have a look, id go with the fem autos to save wasting any time, go to herbies head shop, then on the right hand side of the page scroll down and click on pick and mix, then once that page loads up use the search settings down the left hand side to narrow the search down, such as price etc etc, then have a look at what he got, the one with the best yield is the big bang auto, not sure how long that takes to grow though so check the expected grow period on the read up of the auto, plus if you buy from herbies you will get 3 free seeds with every order,

I was just on the site, the auto fems I saw get done in 2 months. I was looking for some 5 week ones. In the mix and pick, I didn't see autos maybe I overlooked it? But the auto big bang sounds good since my last fem big bang died from my move. I was also considering the moscow auto fem.
 
im trying blueberry auto, auto purple and bluematic at the moment, i just wanted a purple strain so chose some autos, plus i got my 3 free seeds but i also got sent a 4th free seeds, this was a northern lights auto fem, so ill see how they go,

when you choose pick and mix and that page opens on the left hand side i choose the price search option and choose 0 to 20 or below 20 what ever it is, then hit search then it lists all the seeds in price order, i just scroll down the list till i come to the autos, as its in price order it is easier to find the cheaper autos, i have not spent much on autos but the last auto i harvested is by far the best bud i have ever smoked, the worse part is im running out of it, it was the auto bomb, i think thats one of the cheapest autos herbie does

my last auto showed sex at 2 weeks and started flowering not long after, so id say it was about 6 or 7 weeks from start to finish, how ever the 1st auto i tried struggled to grow and it grew at ground level and had no stem, this was also meant to finish quick but it took 6 weeks for it to reach 2 inches in height, but as soon as it reached that height it started to grow quick and then flowered, im thinking possibly a dodgy seed or something in my soil, when it failed to grow above ground level i had a little dig around and found that the roots had grown into a hard lump that was in the compost, so now i make sure i check the compost before it goes in a pot, but out of the 3 autos ive got going now, 1 is about 2 inches high and is growing as quick as a regular plant, the other 2 im waiting to grow out the soil, but planted them a few days after the 1st so they should start growing tomorrow or the day after, both my last autos had weird leaf growth at the start of growing but this one growing now looks perfect so hoping it will grow quick and flower quick,

By the way did you check runoff EC after flush(es)? For me going down till 30% of nute's recommended EC helped with the N overfert.

EC = Electrical Conductivity. Some prefer to measure nute strength using EC. In reality the PPM pens we use measure EC, but convert that EC number to PPM for us.

The higher the EC the higher the nute strength. More dissolved salts makes the solution conduct electricity better, so the pen reads a higher EC.

Just asking because i had to flush my blueberry 3-4 times 15L until salinity went back to 'normal' (700-1000 EC). Maybe you will start adding nutes while your runoff is still very high (not saying this is the case, just there is a chance).

I don't use PPM because there are like 3 different PPM scales - i have no idea which one to convert to my EC values.
If you let me know which to pick i will use that from now on..
 
herbies sent me that as a bonus seed with my last order, i got the usual 3 seeds but then royal queen seeds must be doing a promotion cuz i got sent that free seed above so i got 4 seeds plus loads of royal queen freebies, i got 5 plant markers that are re-usable so i will no longer forget what im growing, i got stickers, wrist band, mints, so herbie might be giving all that away with every order, when you place your order send a msg with it and mention this site and drop my screen name in the msg and you will be well looked after,

@GiGaBaNe, its a nightmare writing you screen name, you know that quick auto on the page before, well im going to order 1 and give it a try, now i had a bit of a disagreement with a seed bank a while back, you know it says 400g to 500g per sq meter, well i asked them does this mean if that plant covers a square mtr will it then produce that yield stated, they told me its a guide and depends how many plants you can fit into the size quoted, so i said why say it yields that much, they should say if you buy 10 plants and squeeze them in to that area size then you will hit that targer, but 1 plant wont hit that target even if it covered that same area in growth, i wonder why they use guides like that to estimate yield

Well that's nice to know. Thanks! Would have been nicer to know last week when I ordered! We'll see what he sends me, you know I'll be reporting it! I know my package is in the US. It should come any day now....

i suppose its the same as break horse power in vehicles. i can tell you that a 1kbhp car/truck aint goin nowhere but backwards if it tried to do a tug of war with a thousand REAL horses, lol ;)

imactually going to call herbies before i place any order and explain in person what i want to acheive, what plants i have considered to hit my goal and ask him what auto's he/they reccomend to hit my targets, which are basicly 2 fold.
1 fastest turn around, the sooner i have a spare bud in my hand, the sooner i can buy more seeds and lights ;)
2 maximum possible yield including cure by 2 weeks before xmas.
Santa needs his spacecookies and herbal milk on chimeny night, and my friends will pretty much pay for our xmas if i can provide their party favours =D
