Gorilla ventilation setup question

Just getting things off the ground here and have equipment showing up on my steps. I picked up a gorilla ventilation kit and have a few questions about hanging the fan motor in-line with the filter and get that hung from the ceiling structure of my gorilla 3x3 grow tent.
If you can post pics of what you have worked up it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

dont run extraction here but there’s multiple ways to set it up. some put equipment inside tent (at the top of course) some put it outside of the tent.

But consider this: you lose a few feet right off the bat, most containers are a foot tall then if your fan gear is in top of tent then you typically lose another 8 inches to a foot - that’s 2 feet out of your useable space right away plus you can’t let plants grow right up into your fixture so there’s more space - lost.

Anyway just thinking ahead for ya, some others will send in pics soon hopefully

I just hang them; best for me, easiest to maintain.

I added today that filter(425m3/h) and 280m3/h fan 125mm

Growing it strong with 2x2.5 (tallest model)

The gorilla tent with the one foot extension will give me close to 8’ so losing a foot or so at the top shouldn’t pose a huge problem, but I am thinking ahead by adding the extension, thanks for confirming my initial thoughts.
im sure I can hang it with zip ties etc.
thanks for the pics!

IF Noise is not a problem stick it all outside the tent what i have done.I have all the head room of the tent to adjust light. It’s bar lights that want the whole roof of the tent which cause the most problems for me.

My tent came with at least 4 of the black straps in @toiskis picture, I used a pair wrapped around my carbon filter at each end drawing it up tight to the ceiling bar using the extension also.
Yea mine had those too.
I just trust fix hangers better, when and big IF i need the extra 30cm i can strap them straight to the "roof" pole.

I added the extension as i assembled the tent. I also have in the tent at bottom level a platform about 35cm (with a chair) ...

For my height (6 "10") 186cm

Its super easy to have access points in several different height spots without light leaking...

I use Zip Ties to hold my fan up & 1 of the Black Straps around the filter to hold it up. I also use a Bar Light & have no issues. But I top & LST my plants so they usually only get about 3' tall. Bigger tent, but same principal. I also have a Fan & Filter outside my tent for intake air into the tent.

You have no issues because your tent is massive and u don’t let your plants grow over 4 foot. Try in a smaller tent with larger plants and your know the hardships.pretty poor example as he’s in a 3x3

I have a 3x3 with a 4 Bar Mars Hydro FC-E3000 & a 4" Fan & Filter set up the exact same way. That tent is 6' tall. But I only use it to start my plants. Once they up-pot from 3 - 5 or 3 - 7 gal. they go in the big tent. I'm currently using it as a SCROG Tent. I just don't have a pic of that showing the fan & filter because I've been focusing my pics on the SCROG.
I'll take one tomorrow when I do an update on my journal.
The pics I posted were only to show an example. I know the hardship all too well of growing in small tents. I started that way too. I just invest 1/2 of each grow back into equipment so I can grow more plants at once. I'd rather have an oversized tent then a smaller one so I can add any equipment I need to keep my temps & humidity in check.

I wish I had pics of my 1st grow so you could all have one hell of a laugh. I used a large cardboard box I covered with foil. My light was a bathroom light fixture with 4 - 85 watt CFL's. Temps were always high 90's & I have no idea what the RH was. Buds were large, but fluffy as all get up. I think I got about 1 oz. per plant. It was some really good weed though. Emilya would remember this & laugh as she guided me through that grow. That was 4 years ago.

That is by far the sharpest set up I’ve seen! Put some plants in that thing. Maybe spill some soil on the floor! Haha. All kidding aside that’s a sweet setup! Well done!!

WOW! That is a hero setup, @Buds Buddy! So impressive - and there I was feeling pretty good about myself lol. Always more to learn, that’s what I love about this!

I was so dumb I ended up stinking up the house and got busted by my kids…then I discovered carbon lol

Sorry for the pic - best one I had @Wheresjerry. After this grow both the scrubber and the exhaust fan will be outside the tent. I don’t care about sound and that stuff is ALWAYS in the way. It’s hard to even adjust the lights, and I lose 1.5 feet of headspace. Just my 2 cents
That is one bad boy of a light! Nice and clean up top too! Looking good Sneeky!

I don't understand plants growing too tall & hitting the light or tent roof. That only happened to me when I didn't LST.
If you let them grow without training, yes they grow out of control. But with training they stay short & bushy.
Then again, could be that they are vegging too long so they get too big. 6 weeks of veg is plenty long enough to pull 8 oz. or more per plant.

I have 9 plants in 3 gal. pots in the tent starting to flower now. No dirt on my floor though. I don't go for that. Keeping it clean keeps bugs away.
