GiGaBaNE's 4th - HydroGanics 600w HiD + Flouro

yeah its not cheap to set up, i usually budget £2000 per room on average. thats for everything including nutes. if u go off a decent 8" fan like the airforce 2, a 10-12" rhino carbon filter, ducting and couple cool tubes u looking at £600 before buying bulbs, ballasts, jack chain, etc

Late to the DDT mention. Dare we forget about Agent Orange? That shit will clear some land! ( defoil )!!

dont want to kill his grow just his critters:)

yeah ive had a sudden change of heart on my design. cute little tables with their own 400ws is cute and all but im thinking im only hurting myself in the yields department. i think a better idea is to make a giant water table for the whole room except for walkways and just hang 1kw cooltubes from the ceiling as and where can.

any idea how much power one can pull through a standard english wall socket before worrying about cooking the wiring?

i have access to a sparky that will run me a dedicated power ring from the meter without informing the electric company of the modification, but thats gonna take a few quid to set up. i need to know my current capacity for power. i got a feeling that 3kw is pushing it.

update coming soon =)
busy getting rid of that bed frame contraption and mounting my light to the ceiling. and some other stuff.

ive seen a rise in fungus flies in the last few days despite my h202. ive upgraded my dose to 5ml per 10 litres every 48 hours. ill just keep increasing and increasing till either the gnats are gone, the plants burn or i discover i was sold a bottle of shit (looks more like a mineral water bottle) the only thing its got going in its favour right now is that it slowly releases gas, just like fizzy water but at a much slower rate. so i think its ok...im going to be a bit more selective on my next purchase.

does the h202 sting and turn your skin white if you get a little on you? have you tried it on something it should "fizz" when applied ,this week i found a neem oil extract product made by "garden safe" it smells like oranges/orange peel not that offensive odor at all and 100% organic its concentrated and a 5$ bottle makes many gallons of spray, it calls for 1-4 tbps per gallon ,its a 16 oz bottle, spiffy freaks when i use neem oil but this time she said "mmmm what smells so good? are you eating oranges?" perhaps that might be good for you?

i guess i got what i paid for. and it certainly explains why im up to 6ml per 10l with no harm on the plants, lol

ill probably order what you suggested. want these buggers gone so i can start using my bpn foods.

just want this damn crop done and dusted now so i can switch over to my new growing method...and then i can focus on strain choice.

just a quick update guys. time passes and you can at least see my progress if not a completed project yet ;)

firstly something cute.
these miniature jars of flavoured coffees are availible at supermarkets on sale at the moment...are they not perfect once delabeled as sample nug jars =D

lmao i figure a fist is a pretty universal scale, the £2 coin is for fast scaling for the british ;)

sorry about the lighting on this one. this is an airbed i cut the top off to make an ad hoc drain table. definatly ghetto looking with jump leads and all, but it saved me HOURS of watering time not needing to move my plants.

I know some of my friends are into cold steel, so just a quick pick of my new toy. UK legal. for um pruning, lol.

and here is my light now bolted to the roof ( yes the beam isnt in the best place, but now ive watched a carpenter locate the studs on the other side of the plasterboard i can re do it myself and have multiple beams where i want them. going to do the whole roof in readiness to take 4 x 1kw hps cool tubes and 4 tables.

just parked my plants under the light for now. putting a shelf up tommorow to hold the ballast so my light can go horizontal with the room rather than being twisted at an angle by the weight of the wire.

and in the background you can see the underside of my first table. it still needs legs, walls to keep water in and a drain hole. got some nice waterproof paint thats like pitch for caulking ships, but sets to a waterproof rubber.

So there we go. thats how ive been spending my days apart from battling fungus gnats.
stay tuned =)

Drive bye seems you still got them bugs. I've used that GoGnats and it works. To me I've tried acouple SnS products and they didn't work for me. I tried the mite spray and pm spray. But Gognats worked great. It's not a poison. I used it as a drench in my soil. It works in hydro also. Just don't let it get cold in storage. It does go bad in cold, it turns to like a coating of fiberglass floating ontop your water when bad. Plants are looking great there dude. Keep it up. Hey I have a friend that uses a kiddy swimming pool for a flood table. One of them round ones. Looking great there BID Sending ya rep's+++++ Keepem Green

Love the way you use things. Absolutely brilliant!

hi guys. just a bit of a live update.

this is me right now doin carpentry in a 27celcius room. hot dry and cramped, lol. but as you can see my water table is coming on nicely =)
the legs at the back are 1 inch taller than the front, that should be enough to drain the water away.
ive made the legs big enough to have a 1' clearance to put drain tubs and spare plant pots e.t.c underneath =)
