MAC1 x Freakshow (Phenotype #2)

Not bad for a girl in 2 gallon container.
I did a drought for the last week or so and it seems to have paid off.
I pulled more than a gram of hash off of my fingers after trimming.
The tent is empty now. Time to celebrate.
I'm thinking of taking a break for a bit to burn through my stash.
I'm not sure if I'll grow this winter yet. If so maybe only a plant or two.

I was just checking out the drying room and unfortunately the three big colas here were rotting on the inside.
It is what it is and there's still plenty left but hopefully that's the last of it.
I think it was an issue pre trim, because it happened so fast but the high humidity hasn't helped either.
My dehumidifier just doesn't cut it here in the summers. I hope that salt hack works for you. Take care.

I did a final run of bubble hash before retiring the bags for a while.

2 small plants worth of fresh frozen; MAC1 trim from this harvest.
1/2 oz of bottom bag; Girl Scout Cookies from last spring.
1/2 oz of buds; Northern Lights and Zkittlez buds grown outdoors last summer.

Check out how dark the water gets. I guess it's from the anthocyanins in the purple leaves.
I decided to try it. Go figure, it tastes like diluted weed.
It's actually not that bad though. It just needs sugar and caffeine.

The quality looks a little worse in comparison to the runs I did with only fresh frozen trim a few weeks ago.
A fair bit greener, especially so on the second pass (the two blobs on the left).
I haven't finished drying it or rolling it up yet.

In the meantime, this is a picture of the run done with the Original Skunk and other fresh frozen trim.
I more than doubled my initial run just by doing a few extra passes. Trim is the way to go.
The quality didn't really go down on the extra passes but instead just stopped yielding eventually. ~23.5g

Speaking of the Original Skunk. I weighed her tonight; > 5.5oz.
She's a bit damp though so I'm letting her sit out for an hour or so.
She's really colorful and has a citrus punch smell with hints of pine.
Apart from the scissor hash, I still haven't sampled her yet.
It was good from what I remember but that's not much of a smoke report.

Thanks, Shed. The first of the MAC1s was bagged last night. I haven't gotten around to weighing it yet.
The second one is drying a bit faster than I like and will be bagged in a day or two. That's it on the right.
This how I went about drying for the three plants. Once the buds starts to feel dry on the outside,
I cover it in parchment and let it sweat for few days in the hallway if I can.
That gets the total drying time to ~10 days. I'm sure it's comparable to low and slow given our low temperatures.
And yes, I should wash my drip trays before doing this. When the second one is bagged I'll follow up with the weights.

A bit of that is low grade but it'll do the trick in a pinch.
I ditched the 160 micron and some of the 120. And by that, I mean I smoked it all. lol

The second MAC1 dried for about 12 days.
They both have cookie like terpenes now, but not quite thin mints either.
I've seen people claiming their MAC1s smell orangey as well, which is what I described preharvest.
I didn't bother weighing things but I'm sure the harvest broke the 1g/watt mark, especially if you include the losses.
If the Skunk was 5.5oz, then I'd guess that the MAC1#1 is about 7 and the MAC1#2 is 8 or more (was in a 2 gallon!?).

I ditched the 160 micron and some of the 120. And by that, I mean I smoked it all.

I've had better gram per watt harvests in the past by overcrowding the tent and growing larger plants.
But by growing smaller plants and doubling the wattage from 300 to 600watts, quality seems to have improved.
There was less larf and bigger colas however the yield seems to be about the same.

It's tough to compare grams/watt unless you're running the same variety over and over with the same training and all. Some folks consider a SOG the best way to maximize the g/watt deal, but that's really best accomplished with a tent full of clones!
