GDB's Thanksgiving Harvest

Are you also going to hew to the Dots prescibed veg days on them?
After I up-pot, I'll stick to schedule. However, I may not use the Dots on the one I'm having issues with. She will likely go into Roots Organics Lush soil and get fed with Roots Organics dry nutrients.

Hello growers.

Time for some positivity!

On day 8 I am not displeased with the look of my 2 babies, Fruit Punch auto left and Purple Tahoe right. They've begun to resemble little, healthy weed plants!

And on yesterday I dropped my last 2 Green Crack beans into water. This was earlier than I had planned to drop them but I was acting at the request of @Weed Seeds Express. They want to know how the last 2 seeds perform so they can send the correct number of replacements. Is that great custie service or what? Kudos to @Weed Seeds Express! :p

I sent them swimming yesterday at 11am. Neither had a taproot by 11am today. I'll give them until 11pm (36 hours) and they'll be buried in soil, taproots or not.

And that's my best shot at upbeat news for today!

Oh, I almost forgot!

Mrs. GDB went back to work yesterday after spending the last 2 weeks at home with yours truly. Yours truly did his best to seem productive around the house for 14 days straight! He will now return to his regularly scheduled programming! :)

Thanks for looking in.

Peace.

Whew! Good news all around!

That had to be a rough two weeks...
Seeming to be productive can be almost as much work as actually being productive... :)

The little ones are doing great!, and fingers crossed for a GC sprout (or 2)🤞

Thanks Carcass.

The two weeks were brutal!

First, because she kept sleeping in late, I had to make the coffee every morning. Usually she gets up early and makes a pot that I just drink from once I crawl out of bed.

And her near-first question of every day was, "What you gonna' fix for dinner?" Of course this was followed by her graciously offering to get it out of the freezer.

And then she told me that in her second week off she and one of her friends were going to visit another friend in South Carolina. But as the days passed and I kept asking when are you leaving, she kept saying "maybe tomorrow." But tomorrow never came.

But I tried to remain mobile and involved with something in order to dodge some of her "let's," as in "let's do this or let's do that." Meaning why don't you do this or that.

It wasn't so bad though. I almost miss her. :laughtwo:

L O L L I N G !

Hello growers.

The first seed of this grow to sprout, the Purple Dream is a major eyesore and seems to get worse with each passing day. Doing nothing to try and help her is not a good option, but nor is going through taking incremental steps to try to figure out exactly what the problem is. I've got neither the time or patience to take that route. She's on her 25th day above soil.

I'm always looking for the easy way out. (Translation: The way involving the least work and thought.) So I'm thinking that for sure she needs to come out of that solo cup. Nothing in there seems to be to her liking.

I'm turning to my fav soil, Lush soil by Roots Organics, as my sole attempt to get her well.

I up-potted her into a 1 gallon fabric pot with the Lush soil. As I suspected her roots were negligible. I tried to knock most of the soil off of them and made sure to get rid of the few Grow Dots I had put in there before moving her to the 1 gallon container.

If the Lush doesn't straighten her out, then she's out.

I planted her a bit too deeply so the rocks are to keep those 2 ugly leaves off the soil.

I'm in the process of doing a slurry test on the soil she was in, just out of curiosity. I'll test the mix in a few hours and see what it reveals.

In other news, the 2 Green Crack seeds that were soaked the other day spent slightly more that 36 hours in the water. At the end, one had a little taproot emerging and the other had cracked and, I believe, had just the tip of the taproot visible. I buried them in FFOF early this morning.

The other two babies, the Purple Tahoe (right) and Fruit Punch auto continue to keep hope alive!

These solo cups were prepped exactly the same way as the problem plant's solo cup. So that's another piece of this puzzle that's a bit perplexing.

Thanks for your interest.

Peace.

Hello all.

Just a quick update on the ailing Purple Dream on her day 27.

She's been in the Lush soil for 2 days now and while the signs are subtle, I believe I'm seeing slight signs of improvement. Her newer foliage is beginning to take on a more normal look.

Last night I gave her a small dose (1/2 tsp) of Uprising Grow nutrients and 1 liter of water. I should be able to leave her alone for at least several days and just let her do whatever she's going to do.

BTW, I completed the slurry test on the soil from the solo cup she had been in. The PH was 5.6. I'm not sure why it was so low, but that's what it was.

The other two babies continue to chug along on their day 12.

There are still no signs of movement from the last two Green Crack seeds that I buried the other day.

Thanks for looking in.

Peace.

Hello again all.

Growing is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna' get!

I took a close look at the Fruit Punch auto earlier and noticed new plants in there. They appear to be baby mushrooms. I've highlighted 2 of them in this pic, but there are 3 total (today).

Based on the small amount of reading I did, these things could benefit my plant by improving it's ability to uptake nutrients.

If anyone out there has more in-depth information I'd appreciate hearing it!

Peace.

Hello all.

Some of my friends take gummies too often, IMO, so I get some complaints about their "quality" when its really just a matter of their tolerance levels.

I've got something for their asses now!

My latest batch:

I'd be happy to share the full recipe if anyone wants it, but I know nearly everyone has a fav gummy recipe already. I'll just say that these were made using a combo of 1/4 cup of infused oil and 1.6g of decarbed rosin. They pack a little more punch than my usual fare!

Thanks for stopping by.

Peace.

NIce remediating work man! That was low soil ph. She'll have you on her Thanksgiving card list!
You New Englanders send Thanksgiving cards?
Not me. I have older relatives that used to send my mom a card for every holiday though. So yeah, it's old school around here. I just thought it was fun to say.

Shrooms :cheesygrinsmiley: they will colonize your substrate with Mycelium and the fungal hyphae will attach themselves to the roots of the plant and this can effectively triple the root mass. Hope this is helpful much love :circle-of-love:
