GDB Does Tangerine Dream Fems

Hey, Chef! Man, I'm looking forward to this. I welcome the increased responsibilities, especially with being locked down in the house for the most part. The tent should arrive 6 days from now and I've got enough old LEDs and fans to get her up and running right away. I still haven't done the work required to make room for it, and that is my next (and biggest) hurdle.

Instead of doing that work, I'm busy looking thru my auto seeds now, trying to pick out 2 more to drop (leaning toward Californian Snow & Blue Dream'matic from Fastbuds). I'll have 4 autos in the small tent but only 2 photos in the big one. I'll stumble upon a better strategy down the road. :Rasta:

It’s gonna be fantastic for you. I know that game. I had to move so much furniture around to get my second tent up. Took me months of procrastination and hours of work.

those two autos sound like winners. Fastbuds420 usually delivers pretty good. Give me some time to think about it, I’m sure I could figure you out a decent system. You very well may be better off keeping the big tent as the 18/6 and using the small tent to flower photos. I’ll get back to you on it.

No offense, but don't bother, Chef. You'd never be able to come up with a scheme I could follow. I've got several ideas for future projects that will not fit any predetermined model. :Rasta:

Those are the worst kind of projects, and also the most interesting. Like this seed run I’m doing. I had to figure out a third space. Once those seeds are made I know I’m going to want to pop 10 at a time.. so my own predetermined model is going to be out the window when that time comes.

the best thing you can really do is just be planning a few weeks ahead. Like those autos you’ve got now? You know they’re coming down in the next couple weeks (give or take), so pop seeds now so by the time they come down you’ve got vegging plants to take their spot. That’s why I’m popping It’s It Punch right now. My Sour Bubba is only 4 weeks into flower, but when she comes down in 6 more weeks I’ll have a 6 week old It’s It Punch to take her spot. Just stay weeks ahead and you’ll never have empty space.

My mindset is "I'VE GOT TWO TENTS!" I feel that I have infinite possibilities now! I'm not about to pigeon-hole myself into anything. One example, I've got 7 Brookland Sunrise autos and I suspect that they could turn out to be some problem seeds. I'm thinking about growing all 7 at once in 2 gallon pots to see what happens. No matter how it goes, I'll be rid of them. :Rasta:

You can skim through the Brooklyn Sunrise comparative in my signature. I grew 2 plants in a 10 gallon Geo Pot and yielded over 1 pound of bud. It tasted like straight #1 Kerosene.

Funny you should mention that Pennywise. I'm well aware of that thread! You did great but some of the others not so much. I ended up thinking the strain might be somewhat shaky. Of course that was after I had bought the seeds! (Which I bought, by the way, based on your statement on some other thread that it was your fav auto.) You see where I'm going with this?

They are finicky in early veg, they do not like high humidity and heavy nutrients early on. In flower mine were beasts.
Thanks, Penny. I will probably start them all in 2 gallon pots and then up-pot any that show promise.

... I think I'm going to break down soon and do the same. Just curious, what tent did you go with? I'm trying to find the most affordable option, but I also know I'm ordering a Mars Hydro TS1000 before the end of the year.

Time to get rid of those freebies from seedsman.com (3 white widows and 3 blueberries)

Yeah, those relief checks are gonna' really provide some relief, I see! Some of the grow light companies might be able to relocate to Silicon Valley.

I got a Vertor VT off of Amazon. It had about 60+ 4.5 star ratings and I really liked the size of 2.5 x 2.5. It was only $66 US. If I receive it in good shape, I'm sure it will do fine. :Rasta:

Let me know your thoughts when you get it set up, if you don't mind! Sounds like a perfect size for what I'm looking for too.

Will do, Skipeye. :Rasta:

Hello growers and Happy Friday!

I'm having an issue here and I hope someone can help me figure out what's going on.

My Strawberry Cheesecake is showing a lot of wrinkled leaves and I don't know why. She is 32 days old. I started her in a solo cup and re-potted her to a 5 gallon pot on 3/21. After re-potting, her first initial watering was 200 ML with 2g of Mega Crop. The she got another 200 ML on 3/23. She got a Liter on 3/25. On 3/28 I upped MC dosage to 3g and gave her another liter, and she got another liter @MC 3 on 3/31. Today I gave her a liter @MC 3.5.

The leaves started wrinkling appeared about 8 days ago. No discoloration just wrinkles.

Anyone have an idea about what's causing this? Here's a pic.

On a more positive note, both of my Tangerine dreams have been up-potted to 5 gallon pots and topped.

They are both 28 days old.

And finally, my little Stardawg is plugging along at day 19.

I appreciate any help with the Strawberry issue.

Later.

@MrSauga maybe can help.

I know over watering can shrivel growth up like that. Its hard to overfeed with MC. Also if you're using 3.5grams the pH should be around 6.5. I've only had pH issues a few times when I used 1 or 2 grams but after that it seems to always pH the water itself. wish I could help more.

The other ones look great btw!

Edit: the fan leaves look sharp. Nice and rigid details.

It is classic... you are watering all wrong. Not only are you not letting the bottom of the container and the big feeder roots down there dry out between waterings, but you are also trying to guess for the plant how much water to give every two days as you keep adding to the water table. What you see here is the bottom roots beginning to shut down.
Please switch to the lift method to determine when to water, and when you do, saturate the soil to the point of runoff.
