The white rhino seed is growing nicely but is starting to show faded leaves, i'm thinking of adding a bit more nitrogen into the feed?

I jumped the gun on those clones of mine I'm regretting pulling em out... The OG mother was harvested last night she a beauty!

I'm sure my seedlings got off to a slow start due to low humidity now there older and accustomed to the RH things are looking better.

The Colombian sweet strain looks very tasty I'll definitely follow that journal.

What's your current nute line up? It does look like nitrogen deficientcy.

10.6 - 4.4 - 1.7 Baby Bio

7 - 3 - 3 Maxicrop Seaweed extract

4 - 4.5 - 8 Tomorite

I've just been feeding them water for a few weeks now, so maybe they have used up all the nutes. Have given them a good feed today.

I used the baby bio and seaweed through veg and added tomorite in when they started flowering.

Hey gaz those nutes ratios look good, I'm using the complete bio bizz range on my current grow the girls are loving it.

In the last pic there looking really good kinda reminds me of a low riders

Gday bud I think your bang on the money there my first crop did the very same around 5 weeks into bloom pinch them off if you want mate. Speaking of removing fan leaves you should look into defoliation on my second crop I used that technique along with lst and topping, and gained 3oz 8grams of dry bud from one plant with a foot print of 1.5sqft. Once you get your head around it, it'll all make sense :thumb:

The white rhino is looking good nice big healthy leaves no deficientcys there! It kinda looks like you've swapped from the hps to mh or is that just the pic?

what's the turn around time from the seed popping and you harvesting these little beauty's?

Heres the latest update.

Looks like the runt is about 10 -20 days from harvest so ive flushed it.
RUNTTRIMMED.jpg

White rhino baby looking strong! I've tied her down with some garden wire and i topped her a few weeks ago.
WHITE_RHINO34.jpg

I took your advice and gave all the flowering plants a good trim. From seed to harvest i guess about 9 weeks for the white rhino. longer for the runt-like easy riders. Still using the 600w HPS, The White Rhino seems to be thriving!

regards Gaz.

Wake and bake that's how I'm rolling today bud :volcano-smiley:

The runt is really starting to shine she's looking tasty I just wanna bite it :ganjamon: and the rhino again is looking healthy funny how she's twice the size of the twins.

Time wise I guess it's not to bad have you ever looked into autos? Using a dual spectrum bulb you could pop a seed every week until your harvesting a plant a week in 9weeks time, man I'm really thrown about autos pissing me off now do I grow em or stick to photo....

I'm all about defoliation atm it's all I'm thinking about apart from autos damn fargin things... :thumb:

Only reason I got a job was to stop myself waking and baking everyday!

Runt has a really sweet subtle smell, and to be honest the pictures are not doing her justice. Ever since I questioned whether she would actually flower, she has gone from strength to strength.

White Rhino has had a really healthy upbringing, whereas the twins were stunted by light and soil problems. Plus I think the white rhino is just a very strong strain and would probably outgrow them in fair conditions also.

Not tried any autos but one of my friends swears by them. Says they start flowering even under 18/6 lighting? I've kind of got my heart set on vegging my next seeds for 4 or 5 weeks before switching to flower so no need for autos.

I've only just got into the habit of tying my plants down with garden wire (lst?) I defoliated and haven't noticed any adverse effects and its probably too soon to talk about any benefits. Fingers crossed!

Those where the days... Got a week off can't be doing it everyday though I've got a wagon load of wood to clear form the garden then got to build raised beds around the whole garden it's gonna look smashing once I'm finished.

Pictures do these plants no justice all that matters is she's thriving! I'll see how your white rhino turns out if it's any good I'll look into getting some for trails.

To be fair stick to photo period strains they produce so much more buds and the strains are more stable, I'm gonna do 30 autos over summer see how they yeild I'm hoping for at least 1oz per plant I guess time will tell.

Yeah they do bloom under any light cycle crazy modified freaks!

I love using the lst technique that and topping can create some real monsters then throw in some defoliation and weaving the stretch period onto a scrog screen.

Have you ever grown a photo under a 18/6 light cycle?

Heres a sneak peek at what strains I'm gonna be doing over the next year.

I got my seeds from the same shop Hortus, so when you are going to start your afghani and strawberry "free" seeds then let me know. I will start mine and we will be able to compare identical seeds from the same supplier, grown under different conditions!

Sounds like your gonna have your work cut out this week, so fingers crossed the weather stays the same. Been lovely down here in Nottingham today.

Never done an 18/6.

Yeah man herbies is a awesome seed bank plus there very generous with there freebies.

That'll be cool to do a side by side comparison I'll probably be germinating in a couple of weeks to a month just need to get my new veg tent dialed in. I'll also be making several clones of each before I put them into bloom.

My plan is to set up a new bloom tent either a 140cm x 140cm x 200cm tent or go bigger and get a 240cm x 120cm x 200cm gonna stew on it for a couple of weeks...

Nottingham only an couple hrs drive from me in Cambridgeshire ;-) hopefully the wood will arrive tomorrow morning for the garden and I'll have it finished by tea time. Well we'll see!

You'll be surprised how quick these plants grow with a 18/6 light cycle your grow space will soon fill up I reckon you'll never go back to strait 12/12 from seed plus your yeild will quadruple :cheer:

Its the first time I've used Herbies so i'm glad to hear it comes with your recommendation.

You seem to have a lot of space for grow areas! I hear everyone lives in a mansion down there in Cambridgeshire! :thumb: I'm only in Nottingham working, shall be heading back up to Yorkshire tomorrow.

Will probably only need to grow 1 or 2 plants when I change to 18/6 by the sounds of it. looking forward to it! Thanks for checking back Hortus, I'd still be making the journal, but to have someone to talk to about this stuff is definitely keeping me more interested!

Your welcome gaz I'm glad to help bud. My journal was the same there where points where I nearly scraped the whole journal thing. Now I'm just glad to be part of a awesome community of growers here at :420:

To be honest mate I've never used them either just from all the good feedback they get plus being a sponsor of this website thought I'd give em a go.

Hahahaha it's no mansion I'm in but it's not far off :riskybusiness: my only problem with expanding my grow spaces is my better half she hates the stuff given the chance she'd burn the lot down!

Shame your further north than Nottingham, if you ever come down my way drop me a pm bud.

Hard to say how many plants to grow are you growing for personal smoke or to make some poket change? I looked back at the size of you're tent, 9sqft to play with that's the same size as my closest I'd say go for 3 plants you'll probs yeild 10+ounces of top quality nugs.

:Namaste:

Just got home. Runt and White Rhino are looking great! White Rhino has responded really well to the lst and has shot up in size. I've tightened all the wires up to further spread the branches. The added PK has probably helped with progress. Shes just started flowering this week. The twins are weird dwarfed little things. The bud on one of them looks great though. I'll get a close up photo, the other one of them is developing lots and lots of very very tiny buds. No sure it will ever fully flower.

I'm surprised your Mrs lets you grow anything at all if she hates it! I get around the country a lot so i'll let you know if im ever in your neck of the woods. We'll smoke a spliff!

I'm just growing for myself, 1 tent is all the space I can afford right now. I'm currently saving up for a house... gonna get a doer-upper and build a grow room when i renovate it. Will be needing lots of tips at that point. So much to look forward to! For now i'm going to finish the 4 plants that are ongoing and then start the new seeds on 18/6 and see how it goes.
