Gavita 1000e Series - A Doc Bud Journal/Review

Yep! I'm home. Came home to a perfect garden, thanks to SLOtown.

My purpose in life for the next few years is pretty clear: make the move final. I almost didn't come back bro. I seriously thought about it and could almost see it happening. Soon.

That's great news Doc...you sound stoked to get there. I have to be honest ...we're all a little worried you'll forget about us. Please don't. I would love to carry on this talk in about 6 months ....;) cheers Doc.:Namaste:

Never would I do such a thing! We're growers. Growing cannabis has opened doors for each of us in different ways. This is what we do.

High Brix is here to stay. It's only going to get better.

Most of the plants on the Gavita side are ready to harvest, except for a couple skywalker's that are just getting started.

I'm getting about 30% less stretch under the Gavita's when compared to any brand of LED and regular HPS.

Nice looking flowers Doc. I see a hairs difference between strains and color expression is showing some purples on a few lovely shots. I am taking your 14x14x14 setup to heart and hope to be DE equipped soon. Thanks for showing the way.

If you can do it, the 14' cube is a really nice way to go. The large airmass and headroom means heat is mitigated much better. My ceilings are only 12 feet, so I have to be careful.

Um ... obvious skills and experience aside ... it's the environment. :cheesygrinsmiley: :thumb:

Doc, you always seem one step ahead of the rest of us in regards to resin content. Is it the co2 or do you just have a really good camera?

My camera is a piece of crap. It's an eight year old Canon Powershot, 8 megapixel, and if you look closely you can see a bad line down a lot of the pics. It's set on "auto." Point and shoot.

Honestly and truthfully they look much better in person.

It's the C02. But it's also the environment and the strains. I tend to grow things that grow well. If something isn't growing well I take it out of rotation or cull it, whatever the case may be. If the strain doesn't go all resination it better have a real good reason for it or it's not around for long.

Thats what I love about our soil, it grows a diverse number of plants well....especially marijuana :)

Hmm ... :hmmm: ... I was wondering just now ... :bongrip:

I'm surprised that my produce keeps so well in canning jars. How much might this growing method contribute to that? I rarely see anyone talking about 2-yr old buds - is that because they're crap? Or do people just not talk about it? :hmmmm:

...or is it that most people don't have 2-yr old buds? :cheesygrinsmiley:

maybe its me..i find i need less HB weed to be 'satisfied'

so a few Zs last longer...

-growing healthier plants attributes to longer preservation time.

:)

Hope all is well in your world.
