FutRfarmers First Grow With QB's & Doc's High Brix

I can say the whole plant hang is a big difference!!! buds seem to be stickier and I can absolutely tell are drying slower. I'm on day 6 and can't tell if they are still fresh or just that sticky! buds feel very dense to the squeeze. also I think drying environment is making a HUGE difference also I've maintained 55-64% humidity and 60-65 degrees the entire 6 days. very impressed also my amnesia lemon is the plant that seemed to love the Brix soil the most with her shiny dark green leaves through out the grow . stems kink at bend but buds do still feel fresh to the touch but very dense to the squeeze, I can see the rosin shine on my fingers upon touch. I'm thinking of pulling her today. The leaves that I left on are just starting to crisp and are hugging the buds heres a pic.HOLY FROSTY!!!!!!!!

Your drying conditions are very close to curing conditions so you can let that plant hang for quite a while without it getting too dry. Once the stems snap the flowers will be ready to cure. I bet you could go another 4-5 days on the rack.
It sure feel like I have plenty of time I’ll let her keep going, I’m trying to get the best I can out of her. So spicy and citrus on the smell!! Going to be very old school hazy! Just what I was after

She's looking really good! You could probably snip a sampler by now.
:high-five::passitleft:I'll clip a inside bud, probably a good way to get a idea of how dry she is. I'll toss it in a paper bag with the top open and sample around lunch. I'm sure my back will need it after running the back pack blower

Nice drying tent, very similar to my set up and temps/Rh. I just started curing my recent harvest, after hanging for 11 days. Like Neiko said, when you can hold curing temps & RH in your drying tent, it slows everything way down, and couple that with not wet trimming, your in for the best flavor those plants can provide. No doubt wet trim is easier, and I still do it when I’m too busy, but dry trim is where the noticeable flavor preservation is. :passitleft:

@DopyLemontree do you hang plant whole and if so, do you not wash? I am fine with things taking a little longer if it gives a better result and may try this one day. I'm not having issues with end result, my last chop, wet trim leaving lots on the plant, low and slow is still smelling great in the jars! What I don't get ever is really sticky buds like Farmer has there. No complaints just wondering why I never get sticky buds, any thoughts?

So I clipped some branches to trim yesterday and the buds are still fresh and sticky AS HELL! So I re hung the branches on hangers and put them back into the tent. I’m at day 8. On the dry. Stems still kink but I can tell a difference between the first 3 and this one as to the bud texture and feel.

I’m seeing a big difference in the slow dry. I’m liking it a lot. Tester was amazing also

Hey FutR great harvest to you man! Impressive weights!
I’m all caught up and happy to see you tried hanging a plant whole.
I Washed my buds for the first time and I’m a fan. So I’m also a little curious what @DopyLemontree does for whole plant washes or if you skip it?

Thanks brotha! Maybe next year I’ll be able to update on insta also. I didn’t wash any this round I was a little overwhelmed with harvesting and trimming 3 plants! I was impressed with the weights also, I have a feeling amnesia will weigh in around that 12-14oz mark she’s heavy. I’ll post a final weight and pics here and docs post
