FutRfarmers First Grow With QB's & Doc's High Brix

Awesome! All great selections! Star Pupil is his baby so grab them if you can. Feed now or first thing, like I said, you can't go wrong. 30ml plus 3-5ml of tea in 3 gallons?
Star pupil it is. I’ll feed now, should I go GE? I took some close ups of the NL to help. Def no movement but almost crystals on the leaves? From the brix spray maybe

Yes, could be brix. Are you spraying under the leaves? Ok if you get some on top but most should be under. Your call on the drench, my main reason for saying GE is that is following directions. As you know Duggan give NO GE until in big pots. Either way bud. Clip all yellowing leaves and even the ones with rust spots.

Hey Archi! Finally caught up in here. Glad you’re on youre way on the Brix train :high-five:

I was gonna ask the same. You want to reference against a bone dry pot... not a straight out of the cook filled pot. There’s still moisture in therrr.

I’m lovin this “filled with feathers” description. It’s the only thing that truly describes how it feels when you get it as dry as needed. Like there’s nothing in it. Feathers is perfect.

By the basic instructions, soak the pots (some use 1/4 TP), plant seed. Wait until dry ( early wilting) and then drench. I know someone said they done use any drench for ages, but I just wanted to not that the instructions say that first watering is a full drench - usually TP.

Doc always says that he recommends following the structure of events laid out in the instructions with minimal training ect for the first couple of runs with the kit, before we start mixing that up a bit.

So I’d say a little topping and training is fine, but if I was on my first kit run, I wouldn’t be thinking about quadlining or anything that extensive. Just the usual top, train, SC a bit :) Sorry I’m rambling... it was a lot to catch up on.

That kept happening to me in Hawaii! Luckily there is the “surfer crossing” culture :ganjamon:

:D so that’s what that’s for!!

From Archies journal. Well said from @Amy Gardner

I sprayed under, but the fine mist sometimes went everywhere. I'll give them a good GE since they haven't had one. and I'll trim the shit out of the yellow and rust spots.

Hi farmer and Ween.

Good call on the Ge, doc says it helps with strong stems, and other stuff. Good to alternate, but only if plants are thriving. I alway look at it like this: TP feeds the soil, which feeds the plant, builds roots, gets things on track. The GE builds on top of what the TP has achieved, and shifts gears into overdrive. All of this alternating with water....until they get to be big and dry a 1 gal pot every day. This happen when the plants are big and still in the 1 gal pots. When I see that, I do Tp, Tp, H2O , GE, GE, H2O, repeat. Most people up can before they get this big, but I don’t if circumstances allow. I like to wait as long as possible to up an, it all depend on how much space you have and the strain your growing.

Farmer in the root pics the soil looked damp still....is this true? The sides are always the first to dry in the 1gal pots. If the sides are damp, then so is the center. That would indicate to me to hold off another day on the drench, and reevaluate the next day.

Good job on removing the damaged leaves, no need to waste the plants energy trying to repair them.

Alway look to your new growth for indications on how successful your past choices on drench concentrations were. If you see new growth tips burning, back off on the Tp or GE, or give an extra water inbetween. Take notice of you plants reaction to your choices, and learn what they like. Get yourself a loupe to look at the leaves and buds closely.

Know your plants and their private areas well.

The one on the left, SP X Weapon X, says freebie right on it. :rofl:I got a 2018 party/variety pack from MMS and the freebie was also an outdoor strain, lamb something I think. Looks like you had a good day farmer.

Great advice! Thank you, I’m enjoying learning this plant. And that is a future purchase on the loupe. Any you recommend? How are the ones that attach to the phones?. And the soil was dry on the sides, pots were also feather lite, but I can let them go another day from what they looked like. Water next round for sure!

Was wondering if you made it by MMS booth, you grab any freebies?
I did I got
