FutRfarmers First Grow With QB's & Doc's High Brix

Be careful with those clip fans, I've had them fall off the poles and luckily not smash any plants but now I just hang them from the duct hole sinches, don't trust those clips. That 20" oscillating fan sounds interesting. Need to go fan shopping. Maybe clip that temp/rh gauge on one of the pots towards the middle.

I thought if the falling fan also zip tie it is. And great idea I will clip it in the middle tonight

Ween and Daj, I also have leaf wash. When do I incorporate that? Or Is it just handy. Also on the larger fan leaves they are blocking a few bud sites quite a few, but everything is growing great. The only plant that has leaves touching the soil is the LSD, but the damn plant is hovering the soil jistvisnt growing up, I’m still running her, very strange stem it’s growing in a ball

Take very few fans at this point, you could take 1 or 2 but have you tried tucking them or lst? Even with the rubber it could fall when fan sucks tent in, you have it zip tied though so your good.
I have some pipe cleaners I can move the fan's aside, I won't take any until I have to. LST it is, Do I move the fan leaves aside with the pope cleaners or try to pull the bud sites out? This is exciting I almost feel like I'm growing weed:laugh::high-five:

Hey there, so on that leaf wash... Doc uses it a couple times in veg, I believe that’s what he said. Can’t recall the first time he uses it but the second is at Transplant. Which is confusing to me cause I’d like to spray de stress but the leaf wash is pretty awesome too... I have a hard time deciding which I want to do!
At any rate, guess you could time the first one around mid veg... maybe Ween can tell you his technique. I only use it at Transplant myself.

Very gently tie leaders off to the side with the pipe cleaners. I use the binder clips on edge of pots but you can put holes in pots to tie to. I really wouldn't worry too much about blocked sites just yet. Did you top them all?
I only topped the Northerm lights, and I did buy binder clips also

So your really only going to let the NL probably since it will have a couple of good, you'll lower them give the others a chance to catch up. I pretty much always top or fim so am not really sure how to lst a non topped plant. Thinking you would supercrop that main leader to give the others time to catch up. Hope someone else will chime in. I do think one of the hardest things to do is to just leave the plants alone to do their thing. They're looking good! :high-five:

It is hard to leave them alone, I topped the NL just to see if I could do it, figured I’d leave the rest alone to do their thing. Only the first week of vegg so I think I still have plenty of time to top the rest? Also snapped a pic this morning they perked up quite a bit from last night. On top of the brix spray I also set me exhaust fan to run 6 minutes on and 10 minutes off(also my intake)

Not too experienced with leaf wash but am thinking in 2 or 3 weeks do it instead of brix one week. With LW you are spraying the entire plant real good, it stinks! Give the plant a good shake so there is not an excess on top that could burn the leaves.

Hey gang! How things going?:passitleft:

Ween is right. LW is applied very heavy, on top and under all leaves, stems, like the plant just endured a rain storm. Shake off the excess. Like Doc says, you are also trying to physically knock off any critters, eggs, or whatever could be there, with the spray.

I don’t see many critters other than occasional thrips, but it’s good insurance and it also feeds the plant, so I always use it. 2 time in veg, 2nd at the flip.

I don’t remove any leaves when they’re young like that, unless I’m topping and training, leaves are in the soil, or the leaves are burnt/ yellow. Those big sun leaves are doing an important job. Those spouting tops underneath will grow past those leaves soon enough. When you flip them, then you can cut a lot of the undergrowth away that won’t get light anyway, unless you like trimming popcorn buds.;)

After a few grows you’ll develop you own way of pruning to maximize your space. I don’t maximize my at all, but like the ease of the tomato cages, and dollies to roll them around.

Hi dopey!!
glad you popped by, things are going much better this will be week 2 of veg so next up is Growth ionic Drench. just waiting for the girls to dry out. all the bud sites seem to be growing just fine, I'll leave them I need to learn the plant. I'll do the leaf wash after that and 1 more time before flip. And I should probably learn about popcorn buds, I've never trimmed anything before so I'm a green horn all around:laugh:
