I'm always happy to have these conversations brother!! the more educated we are the better after all were the ones investing our time and money into our plants. It's a great thing that our community here can share information togetherPlants are looking good as always bud! I see MMS mentioned some of the issues between him and Dynasty. I know their issues started around the time Woodstock Farmacy called MMS out over the AG project. It seems like Profssor P has been going around saying that MMS has taken other peoples strains and renamed them to release as his own. MMS denies it and I do not think he has. I have seen it mentioned by a few others that his Star Pupil is just Buckeye Purple in Fem form. I have seen people grow both out though and say they are nothing a like.
I would not have brought it up but I know we had talked about it before and it did not seem clear to either of us why there were issues between the two really. I can see why MMS would stop using Dynasty gear to breed with if Dynasty is going to say things like that. Funny enough I was looking at new Dynasty gear the other day and they have some new strains I would really like to get but really have no need for. I need to burn through packs I have now lol.
I just got all caught up on IG, I follow both and like learning as well, jerry..jerry....jerry is right I like being able to engage and build a relationship with the breeders to a extent before investing in the gear, I had that with mms, and still do. he is a young kid and little thing I don't buy onto the stealing of strains he was like a little kid in candy store showing me his recent harvest of his grape pupil I try saw the same excitement and passion in him as I have when showing my grows. I'll continue to have weekly chats with him and meet up with him at the shows. I probably won't buy anymore gear at $125 it's just not feasible unless it's something I must have like I-95 or something very special. I'm with you though I have so much I won't be making any purchases anytime soon.. although you did have me checking that B.O.G gear out, I'm going to read up on his past work and original forums and probably pick up some gear..... welp there goes that didn't last overlong what maybe a paragraphYeah it would be nice to see strains get worked a bit more toward stability. I almost bought some buckeye purple seeds at one point but just could not bring myself to. I have seen a few breeders talk down on melvanetics as well, though that does not matter to me so much. I have seen people that grew it mention it being mediocre at best.
IG definitely brings a lot of drama to the scene. You get so many people trying to get money from people and one place and it turns into a pissing match. I enjoy following breeders to see what they are working on and to gain knowledge and find new strains I want. I will say I watch some of the drama unfold like I am watching the Jerry Springer show. I always expect someone to run of the proverbial stage yelling about how that plant was not the father .
I was reading one exchange and a guy was talking about how he used to test seeds for a breeder and how they would always disregard his input when he told them they hermed. He mentioned that every time he would tell the breeder about issues they would still put out the line. It made me think about how many seeds I have bought from hype breeders that will probably be nothing but lady boys lol. Oh well thats the way it goes.

that's what I was referring to.. if he drops me oh well and to bad really i shall be purgedWoodstock says in a post I saw this am that if you continue to follow mms he will purge you from his page. Oh well.....
I'm interested in them. I like the old school guys, much respect. i will be attending a lot of maine shows this year so hoping to score a lot of underground or old genetics the yearBOG has been around for quite a while. Doc had a Sour Grape that he ran for a while and Neiko had a very nice Sour Strawberry he ran for a bit. I ran Sour Strawberry for a couple of runs. She was a nice plant but another slow moving indica. She did not have the color I wanted. I was really hoping for a similar pheno as Neiko. I will say I had the wife try it without telling her what it was and she told me she thought it tasted like strawberries so that is a plus! I have 2 Sour Bubble seedlings going and I am hoping for a keeper cut out of them. BOG reportedly bred the Sour Dubb which I believe was Sour Bubble x Sour Diesel or vice versa. Sour Dubb was a building block of Gorilla Glue.
Hey PrestExcited to see that Bubba!
How freaking childish is that? I have a couple packs of Dynasty gear but that sort of comment from an individual will move those packs to bottom of the list....if they ever get run. So much easier to ignore the bullshit and move on with your own stuff. Carrying around resentment and anger towards others is just way too tiring and pointless to me. Just my perspective.....but I don't do drama or bullshit.....certainly not 'online'.Woodstock says in a post I saw this am that if you continue to follow mms he will purge you from his page. exactly brother!! It's also a very poor business appearance and extremely childish. I did reach out to B.O.G seeds and looks like I'm going to grab BMR, L.S.D and lifesaver. coming with a free pack of sourblutooth. Hope your enjoying super bowl sunday and congrats againHow freaking childish is that?
