FutRfarmer Grows PuTang, Pre-98 Bubba & 4 Haze Crosses By Connoisseur Genetics

Seedling, are those guys on the podcast using the kit? Doc recommends RO and many use without issue so would not worry about that.

I just started using my well water and plants look pretty good. I had a water test in October so will have to dig up the results and see what Doc thinks.

Cheers!:passitleft:
You have a new well also I would think your just dandy for a long time. My well is from 99 and I drink a gallon and a half a day myself:passitleft:

Nope, not a new well, been there many years. They tried to get me to drill a new one because they ran it at full bore and it ran dry after 1/2 hour but at normal speed it will never run dry, it's been working just fine for many years. I basically was grandfathered in but they say if I go to sell house, I may need to install new well, hogwash! I have crazy sulfur water so only wash and drink when boiled for coffee. I use spring water for the mutts and huey and drink bottled water (not enough.)

Keep using the RO water unless you have good well water that you don't chlorinate, you won't have any issues. I would definitely look into some type of filtration to remove lead at a bare minimum for your own safety. You never know if the water company fucks up and sends more lead through the water than is safe.
For the RO.....I have been hearing from science that RO has very little buffer capacity and shouldn't really be used in agriculture applications alone. A general guideline is to use it mixed 50/50 with regular water to improve your source water and still keep some of the buffer capacity to better control the ph of your soil. Idk if that is the case with DBHBB, but I am looking into that and waiting to hear from Doc on that subject.

The water containing lead is not from the city water, it is from the pipes connecting the old buildings to the main off the street. So any contamination is happening there. I live in an area where they say "you may have" so water testing will be done. If I do have lead, my landlord is supposed to supply a filter. The city discovered the lead issue this past summer and are forcing all buildings to upgrade by 2020.

So I will be getting a water test done and will proceed with caution. I do plan on mixing my water with RO at 50/50 to see the results first hand and also plan on doing some soil testing to see what is actually happening there. Science! :nerd-with-glasses:

Gotcha! I agree if it works it works plenty of mountain spring water that’s cheap for drinking :high-five: you must have a few fill stations out your way also

There's plenty of people here that use RO + kit without issues.

Yup lead leads and solder are the main concerns not the water itself. I assume (because most places do) that the water company sequesters the water with a chemical, IF there's ever an issue with that chemical it can send high amounts of lead to customers. Just saying it's a possibility and I would filter the water regardless to be safe.

Quick check in the ladies and they are looking great and all happy some crazy wind here tonight glad I have the whole house generator

Hope everyone is enjoying something great tonight :passitleft::bong: I’m taking bong rips of this goji pupil! It is really good has a very Berry almost yogurt smell pungent OG dankness that lingers lol and taste very fruity. I’ll grow this again. These are some lowers:laugh: please don’t judge the trim job this lady was 14.5 Oz that I trimmed after work one Friday:headbanger:

You are welcome bud! :passitleft:

Trim job? I don't even trim much these days. I peel all the fans and hang the whole plant. 4-5 days later I take it off the stems and I might trim a little something then, but otherwise it's right into the jars. I don't throw shade at anybody about trimming. I find it a bit of a waste of time to be honest.

I used to hate on how people trimmed when I was buying it. When I was paying $40 for an eighth and the trim job was shit I would get upset lol. Now I am still anal about how I trim things but it is not as bad as it once was.

:passitleft: I'm gong to try that with a jar, do you find it helps with the cure.

my wife says I'm horrible about it

Trimming is really for dispensaries. Someone started that propaganda that tightly trimmed produce was better than not...pfft. I had someone say my stuff was a little leafy once. I handed him a loupe and said...you look at it through this thing and tell what you'd trim off. When the sugar leaf is draped in sugar it makes no sense to me to cut it off, so I don't.

Curing in the jar is the best way IMO. I have tried many different ways and have a large collection of Cvaults too. But nothing works as well as a glass ball jar.

I'm with you on the curing, I only use jars also. I have a bunch of cvaults also I'm not impressed as for storage, but they are good for road trips or the bud I'm puffing on at the time. I do like trimming but I also make hash with the sugar leaves, I've wondered if I left them on if the smoke or cure would be different. I alway's digged the hazes with the sugars left on :passitleft:

I usually squish about half of my yield for rosin. It comes out fantastic and is easier to store in small jars in the fridge.
As for whether trimming effects the smoke and/or cure? I'm sure it would effect the flavor as the chlorophyll in the leaf would impact the smoke. Better for some, worse for others. I don't smoke anything really anymore. I have several desktop vaporizers, portable vaporizers and a few oil rigs for my rosin. I'll party a doob with someone if that's what they really want to do, but I'm also very VERY picky about what I will consume. I don't have time nor tolerance for garbage weed or shitty hash... #Spoiled.

I also have a nugsmasher OG I enjoy rosin :high-five: i won’t smoke or consume anything unless I grew it. I have been smoking a lot more this harvest though... just tastes so damn good and is so smooth. I don’t smoke cigarettes but I can some how pull a bong hit without it hurting:laugh: spoiled is right! I do need to start using the press more however, that tastes even better:passitleft:
