Funny First Grow Outdoor/Balcony OG Kush + Grape Ape

Hey bro just wanted to stop in and see how things are going. The plants look great, but I'm sorry to hear about those damn bugs!! I hope you find a solution to get ride of them and fast! I had the same problem before and I covered the top of my plants with perlite and suffocated all those damn bugs. It doesn't always work but its an option to try if nothing else works. Good luck! I'm sure you will find a way to deal with this and your plants will be fine!

Beneficial Insects

Predator Mites not only feed on Spider Mites and their eggs, they also breed twice as fast! Each Predator Mite sucks the juice out of about 5 Spider Mites a day, or 20 of their eggs. Used as directed, predators should noticeably begin to gain control within 4 weeks, and then continue until the Spider Mites are nearly or completely wiped out. Predators disappear when the Spider Mites are gone.

Normally, Thrips Predator Mites (Amblyseius cucumeris) are most effective under conditions of 70-85% humidity, against all species of Thrips. They will also eat an occasional Spider Mite, and other small pests. However, reports have been poor in low humidity environments, so use these predators in greenhouse and other interior locations with high humidity levels only.
Application: Simply sprinkle your Thrips Predator Mites onto plant foliage or on rockwool blocks in infested areas; they'll do the rest. Use 100-500 per plant; or 200,000 per acre, repeated every 2-3 weeks until established.

GetDynamicImage1.jpg

Aphid Predators (Aphidoletes aphidimyza) have worked so well in many greenhouses, that, by Summer, Aphids may be hard to even find. Breeding populations of predators are usually established from a single release, but regular weekly releases during the growing season speeds up control. 1,000 Aphid Predators treats up to 10,000 sq. ft of greenhouse space

If the bugs on your plant are not any of these then I have another solution than using biological warfare. I used this when I had some gnats crawling around my stem and soil medium. worked great and didnt effect my plants at all, at least noticeably. ---VVV----

wow... dawg good lookn greenthumm!
thanks for that post mayn i think the spiders that i got are the first ones you posted.... since theyre not on my leaves nor stems, but theyre still comin out and about so it makes me believe that there are other spidermites layin around...
but as far as i know, theyre not harmful nor beneficial. i dont have a microscope and cant really look at the spiders close enough... might be these damn asian eyes. HAHA :goof:

i just looks in my wallet and i got 3 bucks LOL so i couldnt even get the fertilomes if i wanted to. however im gona keep using the isopropyl for now, but the 50% mix seemd a little weak so ima go pure next go

thanks for the input green. dope. +reps

Whats up funny! I was wondering when you toped your plants did you wait til they were a certain age or had so many nodes? and how did you go about doing the top? I'm getting ready to do mine but I'm kinda nervous as to what to do?

the first topping i made sure i did it after the 5th node so i pinched the 6th appearing leafset... 4 branches shot up... i thought only the 2 next to the topping were but the ones right under em shot up too. 4 for 1 but im still not sure if this will maximize yield compared to one fat cola...
im gona fim the ogkush by the window but im gona leave afghan the way she is not gona any type of training on her will flower her when her bottom bnodes branch out ill give it a a couple days
will be checkn out your grow soon :) seeya

my bug infestation. i found out what they are... Collembola... 'scavengers of organic matter' says i can get em from overwatering... i goto let my pots dry out again and i think ill let it get reaaaaaaaaaaally dry
man but talk about an infestation there were a grip of em... you think theyre eatn all the organic stuff in the soil? poop.... i should flush out... im gona wait til the pots get super dry
:peace:

'small invertebrate found in the leaf litter on the forest floor, where they play a role in returning the nutrients of the leaves and fallen wood into the soil where it is again accessible to the trees.'

anyone seen these white things before? mine dont seem to jump though... supposedly theyre around humid environments usually near trashcans and where leaves drop...
