I would have sat in the yard with my 22 until the criminal was brought to justice. LoLOnce had a rabbit eat an entire 50 foot row of bean seedlings in one day.
Tried throwing the hoe at him a few times but he kept coming back! No 22 but he did get the 410 treatment from 40 feet away. Violence is wrong but this was self defense!I would have sat in the yard with my 22 until the criminal was brought to justice. LoL
100% agree!Tried throwing the hoe at him a few times but he kept coming back! No 22 but he did get the 410 treatment from 40 feet away. Violence is wrong but this was self defense!
That's one happy looking plant there, Ghost.I was outside piddling around and decided to go ahead and put the monster cropped Crown Royale clone in her finale home. The little cup she was in was full of roots and they dangled when I took her out to transplant. I set her down in milk crate so I can use the crate for tying anchors. Here’s a pic I took.
Another one looking nice. People are getting all kinds of plants on the go now.
A couple years ago my sister-in-law got a pellet gun for scaring away the deer that were eating all her flowers.Tried throwing the hoe at him a few times but he kept coming back! No 22 but he did get the 410 treatment from 40 feet away. Violence is wrong but this was self defense!
Yea they are mouthwash cups for kids lol. They look like little mini solo cups and they are great for clones lol.
@newty ... if you're on insta... check out stunted.art
Dude grows a bunch of tiny little weed topiaries in little red shot glasses. Pretty neat
The crate will make moving her easier too.

You can use them babies for anything! Most versatile things I ever seen, next to my Swiss Army Knife.Awesome idea! I’ll check it out
Where do you get those crates? Do you think the grocery store would give me a few? I’d use them as booster seats too!
I knew a guy in Deer Lake who used one for the driver's seat in his old van.Awesome idea! I’ll check it out

The pellet gun she had wasn't a high-power one, just a target-shooting handgun. Didn't last long, anyway. My buddy has a Gamo (Whisper, maybe?). He once killed a coyote with it, lol. Definitely NOT recommended - shot placement being critical here, and such an activity may not even be local in your region; any random shot is far more likely to wound than humanely kill. But proper high-powered pellet gun selection, proper ammo selection, and "that one perfect shot" can do it.
I'd never shoot a deer with one, though. That's just mean. Sure, it can be done in theory. But you're probably much more likely to wound the thing with the projectile still in the wound. Deer don't walk into emergency rooms... I once adopted a cat (or vice versa?) that had been shot. He wandered into the business I was walking at and basically collapsed in the boss' office. I saw the cat, picked it up (poor thing was as friendly as could be, even in pain), and walked about a mile to the nearest vet. We both figured it was a pellet. Then, "<TING> Whoa, that's not a pellet, it looks like a .22LR slug," exclaimed the vet. Hadn't managed to kill the thing.
And this is coming from someone whose maternal grandfather kept his family fed by hunting - and every animal he ever killed was with a single-shot .22LR. 'Cause we're poor around here . (Shot-placement, lol.)
Use a paint ball gun instead. IDK if that would be considered to be humane or not - but you'd be far less likely to create a penetration wound, IMHO.
Now if it's a bear, OtOH, you won't penetrate with either. You'll just make the local evening news after making it mad and getting mauled.
I'll step off my soap box now...
BtW, when planting seedlings outdoors, my bane is really the crow. SOBs think you're feeding them, lmao. Must be as smart as people say, though, because hanging a dead one up seems to change their minds (for a short time).
My late father-in-law gave me his old guns a number of years back, and on the stock of the 15-shot .22LR there is a line of notches from each time he killed a deer with it.My buddy has a Gamo (Whisper, maybe?). Fresh water. Still alive!

Thanks flytier, I’m hoping she goes on back to veg pretty quick and starts growing good. She got a little bit of a late start but I believe she still can make a decent plant. That's one happy looking plant there, Ghost.
I got mine at a gas station in town. They told me take as many as I like cause the truck won’t pick them back up half the time. They had a big pile of them so I got about 10 or 12 lol.Awesome idea! I’ll check it out

The bag I’m using came from the dollar store lol. It’s a fabric shopping bag I gave $1 for. It is over 5+ gallon cause I can usually fill two 5 gallon buckets with one bag of soil and after I filled the bag they wasn’t even enough soil to fill a three gallon pot so it has to hold 6 or 7 gallon. I’m also gonna use some three gallon fabric pots that I have been using indoor, I’m just gonna set them down in a crate also. What size pots are you using?
