I see you saved that beanbag for me! Looking very good so far, these SUPER grows never seem to get old!
A couple of questions:
1. What light schedule do you start your seedlings/clones on?
2. Will you try more aggressive/early use of the trellis next round?
3. In the case of the BM, I'm trying to figure out the speediness of your bud sites; did you give any dark period? Do you feed transitional nutrients between last week of veg and stretch?
Well that is it for now. I'm sure I'll have some more...these type of grows are what I love studying: stable environment, stable nutrient solution, and all that is left is the variety of GREAT strains to adapt to!
Hi AG
glad you made it. Wow, lots of questions.
1- I always veg on 18-6 light schedule.
2- I set the trellis at 12 inches above the top of the reservoir, I find this has been the perfect height for the closets. I top the plants as often as possible when they are vegging, and use twist ties to start the training of the branches. Once the plant hits the net i usually give it another week or two before the flip but during this time every couple of days I will take the branches and move them over a square or two in the trellis, wait a couple more days and move/spread the plant out more on the trellis. I have been continuing this into flower on the Blue mystic in an attempt to keep the canopy more even and further away from the light.
3- As far as the flip I didn't give any dark period, just adjusted the timer and kept on truckin'. For the nutrients I'm using GH flora series, simple recirculating recipe, but at 1/3 strength. There is a transition period in the recipe but its just a 1: 1: 1 ratio of all three, grow, micro, and bloom nutrients. She's also still getting root enhancer til the end of week 3 of flower.
My goal last round with the White Widow, and this round with the Blue and OG is to keep the PPM between 300-500 in veg, and between 500 to 800 in flower depending on the week. It seems to be working well for me, by day 16 on the White Widow grow she had lots of baby buds already formed (pg. 11 of journal), and I'm well on the way with the Blue this round.
I'm going out of town this weekend coming up, so I'm changing the reservoirs this Thursday night (1 day early). Next update then, it will be day 13 of flower for the Blue closet.
Thanks again for dropping in and the compliments, we'll talk to you soon buddy.
