Fresh Harvest Infused Cannabis Oil

Any idea on using soy lecithin granuals. Can't get hold of sunflower liquid here easily

Nearly all soybeans grow in the US are GMO now. I don't touch soy at all... used to drink it daily in my coffee. Non-gmo sunflower lecithin is reasonably priced on Amazon and quick shipping.

Good price. I paid more when I ordered mine.

Unfortunately I'm non US. I do have non gmo soy lecithin..

You use what you do have then, and you hold the expectation that this will make your medicine more powerful. After all, your ECS may be compromised, but you'll be supplementing it with fresh cannabinoids, and to be honest, I believe your ECS is the most powerful force we know and don't understand.

The system is capable of instantaneous and spontaneous healing with no other support than a strong belief in its ability. We simply haven't learned to let that happen yet. So use the lecithin you have available and fill your oils with the strong and determined intention that they be instrumental in your recovery.

And some hugs to reinforce how proud I am that you took matters into your own hands.

Thanks! So no lesser effects than sunflower type. In theory as long as mixed it should do the same job?

Actually the dry lecithin lacks the glycophospholipids that make biobombs so effective. Soy vs. sunflower is less an issue than liquid vs. granules. You need to use liquid lecithin. $30 a pint is highest price I've heard of delivered. Seems expensive but works out to about a penny per capsule. For what it's worth sunflower is better than soy for a lot of reasons besides GMO/pesticides, but liquid is a must.

I just wanted to thank you for providing this (and all the other) information. I'd read where you stated what FHO was, but didn't make it to the full explanation (this thread) until just now when I followed the link from your other thread. Interesting stuff, that's for sure.

So why do this labor-intensive method? Well, if you have mites like I did it allows you to save the harvest from the compost pile.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if russet mites could pass through most types of "strainer" material due to their tiny size. What are you using? Some kind of silkscreen material, a shade curtain, or...? And do you know the thread per inch count of it?

It seems 420mag is blocking TOR users so if I'm not around that's why.

Been a slice!

First time I've been able to log in for a couple weeks and don't even know if this will post. I've got logged in but then lost connection and every other site works fine so it's this site. Unless you've all had trouble connecting here too.

(Picking up a post from a month ago)

Hi OldMedUser, I have recently had this trouble too. I'm a new-ish Tor user so thought I was maybe missing something (but as you found also, other sites are loading fine for me in Tor). Have you got it working? Or are you, like myself, simply using a standard browser now to access 420mag?
Cheers

It wouldn't have made any difference TS. I used all of those harvests for FHO capsules. Any mite parts became a meal. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And you're welcome. It's all a labor of love. :circle-of-love:

Hello Sue, thanks for pointing out this harvest method and last night I made some. I do have a question if I may...

The final stage you let your oil sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours and I note that you mentioned PsyCro actually does this twice, is there a reasoning behind this? I'm only asking because I'm impatient but it did make me wonder what the science behind it was, as I'm assuming any bonding of compounds happens during the heating of the oil, plant material and Lecithin?

I'm loathe to skip the step without understanding the reasoning behind this but I'm also wanting to test the oil and see how it is in comparison to my last batch of RSO. If you could let me know that would be fantastic, and if it's something that I have missed then my apologies. All the best

Bonding occurs during the chilling phase. (Heat is for extraction.) Without the chilling step the lecithin separates back out. It usually takes me 2 or more times chilling and remixing before it stays blended.

As for impatience, there's no reason you can't use a little now. You won't get the full encapsulation until you chill and mix a couple times, but it does make the process more fun. :)

Hi Sue! EDIT!!: sorry Kingstonrabbi!! You can call me Bertha if you'd like!

Is your intent to get the oil to retain consistency while refrigerated? And have you seen the separation take place when left at room temp?

I ask this because I haven't done the chill-mix-repeat. I saw that the fresh harvest oil I refrigerated congealed, but when set out to come to room temp it returns to its delicious liquid state! And it's some awesome and powerful shtupf!

If I am missing out on even more awesomeness, I sure want to know. I never claimed to be smart... just purdy!

Thank you KingstonRabbi, I took 0.5ml 10hrs 30 ago and I've smoked probably 4 joints since, this is better than the RSO/CCO I made already, probably because I didn't realise the bioavailabilty factors involved on that batch of oil but I just don't think this can be beaten for value.

If it gets even better after this I'm going to be happy as a pig in shit, this is the state I wanted when I started my search for Cannabis cures instead of recreation, it's taken awhile but if this is the way this works then I have finally found my own personal Nirvana where things are all in a good place. I used powdered Sunflower lecithin at 3x the ratio as I heard it was weaker than liquid, thumbs up from me all the way.

I tested it after 15 hours in the fridge, works really well btw. added this as an edit just so I remember myself tomorrow

Thank you

I posted this on another thread as u am interested in purchasing one... does anyone have any experience with a : NOVA. DECARBOXYLATOR an hour and a half to do up to 7 oz I think it said... consistent and controlled... what do u think?

What timing Peeece. :laughtwo: We have two members testing the Nova at this very moment. The thread dedicated to this project would come in handy, wouldn't it?

Sue, does it have to be sunflower lecithin?

I'm not a "boy named Sue" but I'm pretty sure when I researched lecithin that sunflower is ones best bet as far as being organic non-GMO and not chemically extracted. But my memory is for sure not my greatest strength... but I can wiggle my ears and cross my eyes at the same time!!... while chewing gum!... and walking! Hard to believe ainit?

HUGE thanks to Sweet Sue for helping me offline. I made my first batch of FHO today. I started with a little over 500 grams of money maker, ground up with an immersion blender in my new pressure cooker, then added about 600ml of EVOO (made strong because it is for a cancer patient who will be administering anally) added a heaping tbsp of sunflower lecithin, blended some more then cooked for just under 2 hours. I used a large piece of silkscreen in conjunction with the mb2 filter bag and a fat separator to filter out the plant material and water, worked like a charm. I recovered about 500 ml so it probably could have been better but I also didn't exactly measure the EVOO, I put in 500 ml and then another few splashes. Poured the water out then added another heaping tbsp of lecithin, stirred up good, covered and into the fridge it went. I didn't take enough pics but here are a couple.

The hanging buds are for smoking and the ones in the hanging drying basket below is what is now FHO.

The only pic from the process, before I poured the water out. Thanks Rad for the great idea!
