Flytier's Quasi-Aquaponic Salmon-Based Organic Autoflowering Perpetual SPoG® SoG

Is it true that the salmon are deaf when theyre farmed?
No, they are regular fish. When you tap the tank they spook real easy, to the point of crowding the center and suffocating themselves. Not deaf, just stupid.

I love eating salmon. Just never tried farmed becaise ive been told theyre not healthy to eat.

You've been told by somebody unfamiliar with and biased against aquaculture. Farm fish are extremely good to eat. We have very strict regulations to adhere to, from egg right up to plate. First-hand info from a professional in the industry.

Ok, so first, let's check out the SPoG®. This was taken earlier the week when I cut her to dry. She was cut in case I were to get to the wife's staff party, which I'm not going to get to. Vaccinating this weekend, so I'm working it

The King's Kush CBD is doing fantastic, growing and budding like there's no tomorrow. She's flat right across except for the cola on the main stem, which sticks up considerably. But I can live with that

And the NYC Diesels, first the one on wellwater and then the one on shitwater. There doesn't seem to be a big difference to them, but the shitwater trials have just recently begun

I have two Jack Herer seedlings going (plus two seeds planted just yesterday), which seem to be vigorous growers

My Early Miss seems to be a little slower growing than the JHs, but at least she's growing. Another SPoG®, maybe? Also two more EM seeds put down as well
DSCI15581.jpg

And finally, the Dwarf Low Flyer that almost got pitched. I thought it was going to be another no-show, but on the day I was going to turf her she decided to make her presence known. Usually they take four days, but this one took five days. But I think this baby is going to be pretty robust. I may just start planting a little deeper in general (I'm going under the assumption that that's what went on here

Well, I just took a couple Tylenol-3s for my back a while ago and I don't think my lack of weed tonight is going to be an issue (as much as I would like some). I gotta stop and think now about what I want to put down here and then go back and correct the spelling one or two times. Woo-hoo!

A lovely, green, and disparate family you have growing there! Congrats on the spog® harvest but sorry about having to work instead of party. That DLF has a nice thick stem already so good thing you didn't give up on it. Is that the one in the double decker pot?

Yeah, this is the first one to hatch on the second floor. I think I'll even put her into the shitwater trial.

I'm not disappointed about not getting to the party. As much as I like the wife's co-workers and those staff parties, the social anxiety keeps me from really enjoying those situations. And as much as I harp on about it, I need the overtime.

I always tell people they should stop eating farmed pigs cows chickens eggs dairy vegetables all that shit lol

I used to be in the grocery business and when people got wierd about farmed fish I always throw it in their face that everything they eat is farmed lol of course there's risks with that but it's not as bad as some of the fish your getting in the polluted parts of the ocean

Illz lucky-Alaska salmon/pacific salmon varieties are dank

Also all caught up man! Looking good in the garden .

Really digging the pot stacking, I definitely agree about aireating those roots tho, especially if you aren't running an enzyme!

Got better things on the go now. We have 6" pipe at work that won't be used anymore so I got a few pieces to try. I got some corrugated plastic to (hopefully) make a water catcher that will replace the tote lid, something that will be a better fit in the growroom. And I'll probably be cutting out a couple knives today too.

Some new projects in the works. I know you like to keep busy, hate time off lol. Good thing is they'll be custom and reusable! Good use of materials for sure!

Totally! So let's see how the girls are doing Fly?! I'm about to harvest my CBD kings kush. She smells nothing like weed, although frosty. If I had to put a smell to her, I'd say more lemony......

Wow. My KK smells skunky. I'll get an update posted when i get home.

And so I'm still losing seeds and seedlings. I think it may be the temperature in the growroom. I have an incandescent light put in the growroom for emergency heat, but I'm going to have to keep a more vigilant guard on the heater so it don't get moved by a certain someone. Anyway,...

So my King's Kush CBD is doing good as can be expected for the temperature. She's giving off a lovely skunky smell now
DSCI1560.jpg

The NYC Diesels are still chugging away, still a good bit behind the KK

DSCI1562.jpg

The two Jack Herers are displaying different phenotypes with the leaf shapes, one narrow and the other wide
DSCI1563.jpg
DSCI15641.jpg

The Early Miss is struggling with, I can only assume, the temperature. I'm expecting another SPoG® here
DSCI1566.jpg

I have another Diesel starting to come up. I'm going on another assumption here, but I'll take a guess and say that this strain is pretty temperature tolerant; something to keep in mind
DSCI1565.jpg

And the past couple days I've been putting my space to more efficient use. I took out the old tote box lid and put in a corrugated plastic bottom to the growroom that fits perfectly (that's a new one for me) with a plastic liner in it. The pots are less crammed, so I did something right
DSCI1567.jpg

And my pride and joy, my prototype tall pot, made from scrap 6" ABS pipe cut to 18" in length (height?) with a bottom taped onto it, which I can probably get enough of to fill the growroom. The tall part was my idea, but Van Stank was the first to propose aeration in the tall pots when I was going to go with stacking buckets. I was talking to the maintenance guy at work yesterday about it and he said that there are lots of pieces of 6" pipe that aren't going to be used anymore, and that he'd like to see them gone. So I said, "I can help you with that." That's not vinegar in the jug; it's molasses water)
DSCI1569.jpg

So now I'm going to check the room and see if it's getting any warmer, and from there work on a mother of pearl cameo I made a trade for.

Loving the ingenuity Fly! My kk was nothing like yours......shes a CBD strain? Mine smells nothing like skunk.

That may have been 18" long but now it's 18" high! And the vertical slits for aeration are an interesting addition. As part of your experiment you can do with with holes and one with slits and see which ends up with a bigger rootball, all other things being equal.

Interesting idea. I debated doing holes or slits, but I went with slits because I had my grinder out and running anyway. I'll have to take out the drill for the next one.
