Fluxing NL x BB

Ok I have 5months of reading to do hahaha this looks top notch!!!
How much are you thinking of getting from these plants mf?

Reps for you mate

Thanks Ukeveryday.

I don't know mate but LA predicts somewhere between 10-15 oz if all goes well. Those figures would be nice as they are per plant. I never get my hopes up and always think a low figure for myself and then become happy later.

That's would be a nice crop fingers crossed for u mate
Can see a lot of works gone into it... I'm on page 12 haha

I wanted to get it right all along so enlisted the help of skunnymonster and the Flux Master himself(LightAddict). I always said I would make time for it and however long it took didn't matter. Their help and my patience has paid off so far. I have this feeling of not wanting to let them down as they committed to me so kindly.

I would honestly be more than happy if I got a couple of ozs from each plant.

Hideo ho there MF - can I call you MF? haha anyways read your post about going LOS over in SGs thread and thought I'd drop in for a looksee. Are you going organic with this grow?? Not too late to start, it's never too late to throw out your bottled newts, once you taste the results you will not go back and your friends will love you long time. That and you can start to obsess on where to get the next best living organisms to add to your soil instead of killing them off with salts. Stop that train and hop on my friend.

I was reading your soil building recipe and I'm right here with you - I do just about the same thing only thing I add to my mix is Kashi - promotes mycelium (fungus) and of course the most compost you can get your hands on.

Your ladies look mighty fine there - even if they are a little short!! Hahaha.. not a fluxer (yet) here I prefer the SOG but I've got more room so that helps me. I've got a grow just starting out and I'm this close to ripping into the tops and tieing down my girls ... just not ready yet. When I see your 20 colas/plant that are 20" long at the end I'm going to try it!

Anyways I'm here for the long haul and subbed for the ride.

Keep it green there MF!

Cheers mate!

MF is fine bobrown14.

When I started this grow I didn't have to feed for 6 weeks as there was nutrients in the compost I used. I then fed with nutrients only 3 times after that before switching over to compost tea. Here is my recipe:

Compost tea (4 gallons) ratio(%) times volume of water
430 millilitres compost 2.38
90 millilitres molasses 0.5
35 millilitres kelp 0.2
10 millilitres rock dust 0.063

The compost is of my own making from veggie peelings, egg shells, tea bags and the like from indoors as well as all spent plant material from my outdoor gardens(I have 3) as well as grass clippings and shredded branches from hedge trimming. All canna waste goes into it too.

So here, compost is 2.38% the volume of the water. These are British gallons. This recipe is from microbeman on a compost tea site and is the suggested go to site for teas as recommended by COorganics here on 420. The tap water is bubbled for 24 hrs with a big air pump with a 6" flat airstone and then the mix is added and left for another 3 days before use. I also strain for foliar spraying. I have 3 buckets permanently connected with the air pump and there is constant rotation so that I get 4 gallons of compost tea every 2 days.

So my plants have only been fed this tea for the last 3 months with the addition of some Sprouted Seed Tea(SST) made from popping corn as recommended by SG.

They do look healthy so I would assume that the Soil Food Web(SFW) is healthy in those pots.

So the overall answer would be that I deem this grow to be semi-organic but have got soil that has been cooking for 3 & 2 months in 2 seperate tubs(about 70 litres in each) which will be for my next grows. The recipe is:

Organic soil mix
10 litres compost
5 litres coir
2.5 litres perlite
1 litres rock dust
500 millilitres alfalfa
100 millilitres mycorrhiza
50 millilitres garden lime
80 grams kelp meal
40 grams fish, blood & bone

which gives an overall volume of about 20 litres on its own but I multiply those figures to the volume I want.

I have also acquired neem meal as well as crab shell meal which I am going to speak with SG about using in my mix. I have also got green manure seeds as advised by SG.

Sorry about the long answer but I think it's important to get this stuff up as people wanting to know more information can get it easily.

Thank you for the compliments too bobrown14.

Great info medfarmer .u know ur stuff mate sounds complicated to me. Butbur plants are ur proof u knoe exactly what ur doing. Top job mate keep it up:)

Thank you 27. I have done a lot of different styles of grow and I'm going into organic for the next one and expect to stay there. I will always try and help where necessary and this :420: community is great for that.

Day 153 from seed.

Now one trick I use but don't know if its the correct process :)
I when wanting good stretch in this first part of flower, carry on with veg nutes during the stretch period! (Now this is open for debate and I might have it wrong lol) yet to me the idea of continuing growth nutes whilst the plant is in its most vigorous stage of growing just makes sense if you want extra vert!
In turn if I don't want stretch I hit em immediately with flower nutes! :)

Please consider this and go with your gut! :) its just what makes sense in my noggin :)

In hydroponics I always used veggie nutes until first signs of flowering so you don't have it wrong LA.

I'm happy I stumbled upon this conversation!

Firstly, MedFarmer... Your ladies are absolutely gorgeous... You've done such an amazing job my friend, they outta be some bigguns!!!

Anyways, now that I know you guys carry on with Veg nutes for stretch I think I might experiment with that.. It does make perfect sense that during stretch they would want N, considering all of their energy is being put towards leafy upward growth. Is this something you only do in Hydro MF, or is it applicable in soil as well?
