I've been following your grow journals (lurking). Good Stuff! I'm currently on my first ever grow. Agostina sprouted on the 5th and Vi sprouted on the 6th.

Thats why i run 1 at a time, id never keep up with 2

I was thinking about taking pictures every two days or so for reference. As far as journals go, I will probably hold off until next grow. If everything goes well with this first grow my next will be a Blueberry Kush Auto or White Widow Auto, from Nirvana, with a Honeysuckle Photo, from Advanced Feminized Seeds, in a scrog. I haven't decided which auto I'll be growing but I do want to start the Honeysuckle about a month into the Auto's grow and I will be scrog'ing it. I definitely plan on starting a journal for that grow. This first grow is my "comfort run".

They are looking good flower, the tap root issue doesn't seem to have hurt a bit!...it will probably be your best producer because it has will-power!

Making Hash

We harvested our first plant ever on May 25. I saved her trimmings in my deep freezer. On Sunday afternoon we opened up our new set of Bubble Bags to separate the trichomes from the plant matter.

We put the bags in the bucket - the order matters. Poured in ice, water, trimmings.

Stir. Stir stir stir. And more stirring for 20 minutes.

Strain each bag, collect what's on the screen. Place on cardboard and allow to dry completely. Label if you want.

When I do this to my latest harvest I won't use EVERY bag because it's just a lot of work. I'll be mixing all these together anyway to make edibles.

What are the numbers in black above each glob of hash. I assume that the red numbers are the weight. But can't figure out what the black numbers are.

It's the size of the bag that I scraped that hash from. The number refers to the size of the mesh in microns.

Did you use equal amount of trimmings in each bag? What did you learn using the different sizes?

The material will pass through the mesh bag if it is smaller than the mesh of the bag. This means the material caught by the finest mesh has passed through all the other bags. If you check the photo you will see each color for each bag size all stacked up on one bucket.
