First Timer, Any Suggestions?

Ch0d4 & cigo, thanks so much for stopping by and your comment.

cigo, have have the super lemon haze and I have no luck with the cloning is that just the stain is hard or close to impossible to clone...
oh now i see every strain where is some genetics of lemon smell, taste hard to clone...
and i got, lemon skunk and its very hard to clone but i made 2 clones allready(one sold, one growing outdoor)...
i agree its very hard.
I thinkg super lemon haze hard to...
But how i know lemon plants hard to clone but when you made it it grows fast and good!

Try this for the impossible to clone. Mix up some honey and root hormone into a paste. In some distilled water add some kelp meal (and superthrive if you have it) and let it sit for awhile. Take the cutting and do the normal cut and scrape, and let it sit in the kelp water. Take the cutting out and apply the paste and then take some cotton from a cotton ball and wrap around the cut and then put the cutting back in the kelp water to saturate it. Then just put it directly in dirt and under the lights and keep it damp with the leftover kelp water. Mist the leaves everyday and don't give up for at least 20 days.

I went from batting zero with my strain to batting 1000. More info in my journal. I know it sounds like a pain in the ass but after 3 failures that set you back months, it's worth the effort.

Thanks so much borntorun, I will try that for sure. I will let you know how it goes... Thanks again..

nice new guide!:)

Please let me know. After the two failures I thought maybe the plant was too young. It really set me back timewise. Then I was doing some research on kelp and came across this paper where they showed the success rate of clones went up considerably when the cutting was left standing in a mixture of 50 parts water to 1 part kelp meal. So I thought I would give it a try and throw all the other stuff into the process to make sure. So it could of been the kelp, the honey or maybe just that the plant was older. About half way through they looked like they weren't going to make it so I trimmed off all the wilted leaves and kept misting everyday. Finally on day 14 or so I could see a noticeable change for the better.

Or you could just use air layering to root those "cuttings" while they're still part of the mother plant...

It's pretty hard to fail when the clones you take are already rooted lol.

:nicethread:this is the reason i love this 420 mag you just cant get better info anywhere KUDOS and REPS for all who divulge and share this precious info especially(borntorun+torturedsoul).
hope ya have better luck on your clones now sonzor.
:surf:knoledge is power:cheertwo:

Thanks TuoturedSOuld, Pitviper, Resinator thanks for stopping by and all you great advise. This growing thing is great and with help from all you guys my chances of having a successful grow is so much better than if I had to do it on my own thanks again..

Ok, week 11, Things seem to be going fine. Had some pretty weird weather, Hailed one day. Dime size hail for about 5 minutes. Has not hailed here in 20 years or so. Did not do too much damage. Lots of overcast weather, just a little sun per day so I think the plants have slowed up a bit. Not a bad thing I think, they have been getting 10 + hours or direct sun so I am sure they can use the rest. Anyway here are the pic. Take a look and tell me what you think..

man has been trying to unlock the mystery of getting plants to flower on demand for centuries. It would have a huge impact on world hunger, not to mention the cannabis industry. They have isolated the combination of proteins that flow from the leaf to the flowering sites. Maybe you have discovered the secret in your compost tea!

Nights are still getting shorter. All the outdoor growers I've talked to that are in Southern CA are scratching their heads. Late July/Early August is what they expect. I figure around August 15th up here. I want at least 7 foot plants before flowers show up.

Your plants are looking great!

Yes I was hoping for big tall christmas trees. But they are flowering and nothing I can do about. As soon as each finishes I will plant another in its place and hopefully they won't start to flower as soon as they go outside. I fugure they will have a couple of months of veg growth at that point, we will see. Thanks for stopping buy and good luck with you 8 footers...

Thanks HazeSeeker, Wickedrebal, and pan4gold40, taking a look and all your comments are greatly appreciated...

Sonzor, your buds are beautiful. Sun grown, au natural. Gooey spikes of spice liberally sprinkled all over them. Great colors.
On another thread you asked about fog or misty fertigation. If you're thinking of an indoor grow, there are proven techniques. Other than sales pitches, I haven't seen any encouraging results from super small water drops. I don't spray anything on my closet clones, fearing fungus if I do. Research these 420 threads, every picture tells a story.
