First Time Grower

No worries about rot at this stage of growth. That is only an issue for very dense buds late in flower. If your temp is in the 70'sF, then your humidity is right where it needs to be.

For veg stage, keep it in the green as best you can. Too dry at this point puts you in the red and plants pores in the leaves close up and growth is stunted. I believe that is the problem I had on my last grow. Sorry if I've posted this already. I forget who I've replied to. So anyway, don't be running that dehumidifier at this point. Do remember that a dehumidifier will also add heat to the room.
Thank you thank you thank you ok so i turned off air conditioning and dehumidifier I was freezing trying to keep the humidity down so I'm not going to need it just yet the dehumidifier?? I was being told wrong info I feel like my white widow plant should be a little bit more big at this point i was looking at other pictures of the same plant using same soil and indoors like myself and they were taller so I thank you for that information. And the chart. Very much appreciated

And how does the chart work?? Lol does some of the numbers mean inches of the plant?

Basically look at where your temperature is for the better part of the time there on the left and then go across to your RH. Ideally you want to keep it in the green during veg. So say, 75F you would want 65-70% RH. Mine goes out of range at times, but for the most part I am vegging at 74-77F and 65-75%RH. I need to learn to use the humidistat that I bought last year and put my humidifier on it so it shuts down when RH gets above 80. Now when I am well into flower, I will let the humidity drop down to the 50's, but I will try to bring my temps down as well. I don't worry about the numbers in the actual chart, I just try to keep in the green. Look online for VPD charts and there are some good pages with info. I have seen different charts for flowering phase, but I can't find one at the moment.

Here is another chart that is not quite so restrictive. Obviously there is a little margin of disagreement from one chart to the next. The VPD chart for bloom seems to have disappeared. Every link takes me to a horticulture store website with no image.

Found an even better one. This shows where to try and be for different times during your grow.

If you want to go crazy, these are actually leaf temps. So you could get an infrared thermometer and actually measure the leaf temps. I'm not going to that extreme, but I do have a few different IR Thermometers from my R/C car racing days and I might give it a try.

Omg thanks friend I have 77 temperature and 67 humidity right now so hopefully I can keep it at bay and not kill my babies thank you again.

No problem at all. I'm still learning, but I am convinced that this is why my LSD-25 plant was a bust on my last grow and one of my Blue Dream'matics put out lots of foxtails. Check out my old journal to see how horrible heat stress can be on a plant. That was with my older, shorter tent and the temps got up into the 90's at times.

They’re far enough along that they’re getting pretty tough. Sometimes I think people can mess cannabis up by “overloving” it, since I’ve completely abused and neglected plants but still had them turn out OK.
Here’s a thread where I actually tried killing some clones but they were all fine:

Your ladies look really nice and are taking off, I have read a lot of people on here having bad experience spraying the diluted milk on their plants the milk dries and looks almost like the pm and stinks/goes bad. Never read many say they enjoyed using it but rather people trying to find alternatives. I have never needed to figure out something to use for it so I can not add much else sorry

Yea I haven’t sprayed the diluted milk — I used a paper towel dipped in it, then wiped the powdery mildew off. I could see spraying causing a buildup of residue.

The wiping method is obviously only practical for very early outbreak. I wouldn’t want to try wiping down an 8-foot plant that’s covered with mildew!

They’re really coming along! I’m curious about those pots — are you seeing the roots poke out? I remember seeing those at a nursery supply show back when they were a novel concept. Got one as a sample, maybe still have it tucked away somewhere.
No roots poking out they supposed to be like the mother of all pots lol good for ya plants and all l. Im a first time grower so all this is new to me

Today is August 16th I fed and watered 4 days ago im trying to water every 4-5 days so I don't over water i finally got an industrial size dehumidifier and a fan that has circulation that moves i cant wait to flower them im excited i know i have a few more months but it amazing to see this come to life like that. Like I did that. Any advice or comments welcome

Everything sounds and looks good. My only comment is that putting the watering on a schedule is not optimal, ideally you would pick up or even tip each container daily until it is really easy to do because it is so much lighter. This is optimizing the dry soil to encourage the roots to expand in search of the water creating a bigger better root system. :Namaste:

They’re looking really nice, good job! When are you thinking about flipping them to 12/12? Keep in mind they will still stretch afterwards — exactly how much will vary by strain.
