Is that a glowfish blacklight? Or is it led set to moonlight mode?I know about aquarium lights. That blue light is giving out less than 10 par. It is probably at 3-5 par in actuality, less if it is blacklight. You are better off with cfls than that light. I have high powered leds over my planted tanks. They only give off 5 par @12" . This is moonlight setting. High powered actinic lights can be used to give compact growth to a point. Actinic is blue spectrum 10,000k though and used for saltwater corals. I don't think your light is actinic though. You need a broader spectrum light. What kind of light pucks are those? led?
