First time grower, using Earthbox

hey im a first time grower so kind of a newbie, so im growing using an earth box i wana do this the hydroponic way, i have the grow light (a hydro farm 24 watt) it came with and 2 types of nutrient systems fox farm and flora micro. i have a ph meter, thermometer, and a subpump with aeration tube and PLANTit clay pebbles

my plan is to grow 2-3 plants i was gona start them in papertowels inside bags to keep the moisture and heat in, after they gained a root system i was going to transfer them into clay filled cups and have them watered and watched until they had long enough roots to use the earth box, for the earth box set up i was going to have the submersible pump chill in the reservoir not to change water but to move it around and pump air into the water ( to aerate it). once big enough to use the earthbox properly i was going to move the plants from clay filled cups to maybe an inch or 2 of clay pebbles in the earthbox, ( for those who dont know an earthbox is just a fancy hempy bucket, square tub with an overflow hole and a plastic grate about an inch above the water to hold the plants) the website with the product im using EarthBox® Container Gardening System - Green - The Original EarthBox® - EarthBox Systems - EarthBox - Homegrown Vegetables Without A Garden .)

im wondering what i could be doing wrong or what i could do to improve the system.
not sure how long the water should chill in the reservoir, how i would be able to change the water? ( just tiping it into a bucket maybe lol)

now i have done a lot of research in hydroponics so i know the basics but never really attempted how that i have the system i just was looking for some feed back. thanks :D
