So I'll do one more top on each sides to give me 4 tops then and let those go vertical throughout veg? Will they need some kind of support?

Support will just depend on structure of the plant, yet a few poles etc easy as! :)

I don't understand why I need to get a few poles, are the polish particularly good at structurally supporting plants?

Lmaof :):) Im sodin crap at spelling and my phone is US set dictionary, yet Im UK! I cant spell for anything and apologize. If my auto correct doesn't spot it I fall short lol. Also only have a phone to post off!

Veg: Day 13

Did a few different things tonight, I took the leaves off Shiva Skunk 2 (this is the one that hopefully will have eight tops starting from the third node) and tried to separate the stems out

I topped Jack Flash 2 and will FIM it in a week

I also put my 'sacrificed' Jack Flash 1 into the flowering chamber today.

Veg: Day 17

A few of my plants have started developing issues: yellow spots on the lower leaves, the tips of the upper leaves curling downwards and some veiny leaves:

I think the problem is nutrient burn and specifically nitrogen toxicity. If this is the case what can I do to solve the problem? The plants have just been watered and so in these big pots it will be a few days before I the coco/perlite mix is dry and I can run through a lower nutrient solution. One thing I was thinking was to put a little plain pH'ed water through my plants to try and dilute the solution, would this work or if I do that now could it cause overwatering?

Veg: Day 20

I fimmed my Shiva Skunk plant today twice:

She was looking extremely bushy to the point where the leaves were all crammed and askew, so I removed most of the big fan leaves. I'm worried that the new leaves may be a little thing and spiney, I'm not sure if this is another nute burn symptom or just the plant:

My fluxing Jack Flash seems to be doing well and I've started training the secondary stems

My other Jack Flash is a week into flowering and I'm really impressed by her structure!

Looking damn nice! :) to speed your flux along just leave more foliage on each end of flux arms. Taking off anything shadowing the nodes you want to promote into limbs is all good :)

I did something today that I'm really proud of and want to share with the internet!

I noticed a slight smell around my grow room so I constructed a (hopefully) airtight door for it.

I used foam strips and a latch to try and stop any air exchange between the inside of the tent and the room it's in.

Veg: Day 23

Could anyone offer any suggestions as to when the plants I topped very early(that now have 8 and 4 tops) should be put into my flowering chamber. I think I need to get some decent vertical growth first, but when abouts is the right time for these two:

Definitely let your topped girls grow really good vert before thinking of flowering. Also do the opening up of the tops as often as you can to get nodes stacked up good and proper! :)

What I've been doing is when a node has a new top sometimes the tiny new leaves can a little tangled up in each other or are slightly skewed so I just open them out very gently. I think this helps the plant grow quicker

I've just taken three clones of the big shiva skunk plant before it goes into flowering. They've all seemed to survive the journey into the humidity chamber! I'll post pics over the next couple of days.

Now that I've done that I'm excited to try 'monster cropping' have you tried it? The results if achievable look really good.

I put a second plant into the flowering room recently (which I was able to do thanks to a getting a second Budmaster :) ) so I thought I'd update the status of all the plants again.

This was my control plant which I haven't trained at all. I only put her in veg for two weeks but I'm really impressed by the growth!

This was the plant I topped and fimmed during veg. I haven't really seen the '6 tops' yet that I thought I would, but she looks really bushy

Eventually I'll use the 2x2 to veg and the 3x3 for flowering. For now because my fluxers are taking up a lot of space I have her flowering the big Jack Flash, I've been stunned by the amount of growth so far so if this carries on I'll have a monster!
