First Time Grower - In a PC Box - Challenge Accepted

Hello guys,

After waiting many years for the right time to grow my first plant/s. I think im ready to commit. It has been becoming a headache to be a smoker in where I live because of meaningless regulations as a result of abuse of hard drugs by lots of people and media blaming everyone in the same category.

Anyways, I have germinated my seeds few days ago, and for now there are in small plastic cups. Unfortunately, I was not able to get feminized seeds or anything fancy like autoflowers, so I have started with 4 old seeds. I am hoping that they will turn out nice with good care.

The soil is Biobizz all-mix, and in few days, I will start to feed the plants with bio-grow and bio-bloom and probably get a larger pot.

For lighting, I am currently using 1x 6500k white CFL for the vegetative stage wroking 16h per day. I am thinking to add another one soon.

This forum seems to have tons of useful info and many good people. I just want to start my very first thread and hoping to keep it alive during to process to hear your comments. I am just so excited now that I am writing this at work I hope things will turn out nicely.

Awsome.! Even i'm a first grower. And my set is similar to yours. But only difference is i'm using the cardboard box in which my CPU was packed!
In the first five days it looked like this

Now its 7 days old and it looks like this

Neel, to answer your question cfl bulbs give about 2700 lumen and have a good spectrum of light also. just not the best. as LEDs are.
some CFLs are lower to around 1600- 2200 but good ones are 2700. i use them for veg. and Led for flowering.

hello again, regarding your question my cfls give around 2200-2300 lumen, they are 23-24 watt. I have some white, some yellow colored ones.

after doing some research I have decided to switch to a bigger pc box. The height of the new one is abt 2feet and i can fit 4 pots in there so far. The reason for me to have 4 is that im scared one or few might be male plants.

I have 2 intake / 1 exhaust fan without carbon filter, probably im gonna have to add something in there later on.

its day 10, i was only using one lamp before and i think thats why they are small at least they seem to be healthy..

and when should i start to feed them ??? ill be using biobizz grow, and bloom.. any tips would really help !!

lmao i did same thing but i used one of them blue tubs you put down in a basement to keep bugs from crawling in. dude your fine. doing well dont let people bash it. i started same way. put same thing on walls as you did. grew for 6 months with it and still have it in case i need it.. it works like a champ.

ln my opinion it looks fine as well since you probably also want a small plant, that box should do the job

UPDATE

This is my current status..i wonder why my stem is so thin.
Can anyone guess which strain is this? the person who gave didnt tell me as its the seeds found from a street bought hash.

lol their is no way in the world you be able to tell what strain that is right now. might when its budding and ready to harvest. maybe. maybe then. stem is thin because it is thin. top it or do the bend method to make lower half bulk up. i forget what the technique name is. i done it before. but i top mine more than anything.

Nice and healthy looking plants. I think its OK to start flowering now, they will probably stretch for a week or 2 after switching.

Damn that green is lovely. Great job maintaining temperatures in that box of yours! That light distance is a killer because it guarantees the maximum penetration and photosynthetic activity.

wait till plant gets big all you will do is make a small plant. with small buds.

give it some time to grow. i send mine into flowering about 1 month into the veg stage.
