First Time Grow - Blue Dream - Skywalker - Alien Dawg - Platinum Bubba Kush

Never used Pro Earth 4, but I use 50% FFOF, and 50% perlite, helps with drainage, and cuts down on the nutes in the soil. Just be careful if you use perlite, some, like MG, has time released nutes, and can make the mix too hot.

Hey thanks Dank, I ended up just doing 3 today but only FFOF. Going to buy more FFOF tomorrow as the roots are showing from the bottom and have been for sometime I'm guessing. I only looked at the holes on the side not underneath. So, good news and bad news. Good news I can see the roots and now time to move to a 5 gal. Bad news I found these funky looking bugs hanging out by the roots. Like a whole army. I was going to try and take a pic but its a bitch to do on my cell and holding pot at the same time but I ll work on it. Again thanks fellas.

Pics would be helpful if you can figure out how, I take a proactive approach to pests, I attack first, so I don't get them anymore. I never had bugs near the roots, unless they were fungus gnats, but I use a thin layer of diatomaceous earth over the top of the soil, and I haven't seen any bugs in a while. My wife uses it outdoors, on all her plants, and she has 0 bugs as well.

Thank you again Dank.

Quick question, once I repot do I need to water right away? cause ummm I just watered yesterday when they were in the 3 gal...doh. Maybe my fault for not waiting. If I had to guess I'd say don't water.

I mix 1 gallon of ph 6.0 water with 2 small drops of superthrive in a sprayer, then I spray the new soil after I hollow out a spot for the plant in the middle. Make the hole, then spray the soil until all the new soil is wet, but not soaked, then you won't have to water for a while. The superthrive reduces the shock, my plants had almost no shock at all when I used it.

your plants look large enough to use either straight FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil or a mixture of FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil, perlite and vermiculite. when i transplant I use mycorrhizae powder and water with only pH adjusted water and soak the new soil and old soil to sufficiently water all the soil until runoff is just achieved. for soil insects i use diatomaceous earth as a barrier on top of the soil, it cuts them as they move through it. i bought my diatomaceous earth from an animal feed store, do not use the type meant for pool filters. mosquito dunks can also be used for soil insects. Sierra Natural Sciences has a product made for soil insects called SNS-203.

Thanks guys. Damn I just read this after I did 50/50 FFOF / Pro Earth 4 which has mycorrhizae. I think I am ass backwards, I already repotted but didn't water cause I had already done so the previous day. But I will water around the edges when my wife gets home with some distilled water, which I will then ph to 6.0.
As far as the pest problem I don't know what to say. I lifted all the pots and only my Skywalker had them. So I ran inside and couldn't find my phone in time, they were gone even when I looked at the roots on the bottom when I repotted. Here is a pic though. I wont even begin to tell you how long it took me to snap a pic. Anyway here it is.

The final result. I also raised my hoods a bit and turned up to 600watts, wondering how well the Super Lumens switch works. Says it's suppose to give 10% more but who knows.

Also good to note that I failed to pay attention about what kind of gal to get. I should have gotten a 5 gal, instead I got a 5.9....doh....my tent is 7' tall, shit I hope this works.

Thanks John.
Here is a better picture of the pest I have. They jump like a flea but its not a flea. Also this picture is zoomed in all the way on my Iphone. So that's to say they are very very small.

Any ideas on what to use?

Can an experienced grower let me know how my girls are doing, please? From time to time I swear I panic when I see something that looks wrong.
Also when it comes to watering normally I get a few gallons of distilled water but today I just used the tap water which was at 8.5 and the I ph'd it down to 6.0, is that correct? Again thank anyone for your help.

Thanks man. I read what you posted on another members journal about that. I have been doing 6.0 but will change to 6.5 from now on. I really appreciate the help. I had a grower to help me but he turned flaky. Hell I paid him $50 just to come over and check my girls out for like 15mins, I was stressing so bad. Anyways, I messed up with this whole process and went too big, so now I am making the best of it and I need everything to go as perfect as I can get it with some good help. I am so tired of going to dispensaries only to come home to smoke the harshest nastiest shit ever (no shit). I swear it seems growers out here do not want to see anyone but themselves succeed. Good old Army after 13 yrs has really taken a toll on my overall health (Go Go Artillery and being a Military Police) I need some QUALITY smoke. Ok enough of the sob story.
If anyone out there can honestly lend a hand maybe we can work something out (example, Fox Farm Trio, or something like that. I can read till I am blue in the face but I feel its going to take a PRO to really square me away.
Also, I started Grow Big on 5 Sept doing 1/4 tsp per gallon, which I ended up doing 4 gallons I think to feed 9 plants and watered today 7 Sept 6.0 ph'd water. I think I am doing this correctly and am guessing I will use Grow Big again for the next feeding, correct?
