First Time For Personal Use

Hi all! Hope everyone is happily growing.
An update on the young fella! The stem has recovered from bending and it is into its 3rd week! All natural from sunlight, totally outdoors as of now.
Also I sowed some wild random seeds and it was today, that I noticed an unusual leaf pattern! Kindly suggest what to do with it. And only this one sprouted up and the rest didn't germinate.
Pour in!
Peace

We need to let it grow up a bit more to be sure, but it looks like another type of strain?!

Hey hi! Yes. Totally, something really different. Notice how leaves are growing up? These seeds were a bit different from the ones earlier used. Here's the picture I missed on my earlier post of the seeds.
Peace

Hi all!
Hope Mother Nature is all bestowing her wonderful blessings on all the growers and enthusiasts.

Been a month, my young fella and pretty lady are looking good into 5th week now.
Natural outdoors as usual . The temperature is soaring to 38-40 degree Celsius these days so I am watering them both everyother day.
Also a fan is fixed nearby for cooling effect along with the day breeze blowing along naturally.
Please pour in with your help. Still a bit confused about gender and no clue about the strain.
Peace

Hey all, also relating to an usual growth out of those random seeds, the plant has gone bigger but still looks weirder and less like cannabis. Please help, should I uproot it because a new one germinated and looks fine to me.
Peace

Hi everyone! So woke up early morning and went outside to see my young fella smiling back at me.
Now we have got a hint about the gender. Looks like a pretty nice lady out to me.
Kindly pour in with your suggestions ahead!
Still no idea about the strain!
Peace

The fourth picture is of the other plant. I think those are the sacks.
The rest is young fella now maybe a female, would be renamed as pretty girl!
Peace

Pretty early to sex the plants .... sometimes males wont show until the daylight starts getting shorter... it will be a little while yet for that. I would think you won't be sure for a few more weeks for the females.

Looking healthy.... that weird one.. let it grow some more. Sometimes they just get a little funky first set of true leaves and then straighten out on the 2nd set. Those first set of leaves will fall off shortly anyway so I wouldn't stress it. Let her grow and see what happens.:Namaste:

Hi everyone! Hope everything is growing all good at your end!
So 5th week and showing healthy results. Probably now it would be easy to identify gender and maybe the strain! Haha
So the conditions have changed. Still outside but now 10 hours of sunlight with temps around 38-40 degree Celsius. Watering them whenever needed and required.
Noticed a lot of growth nodes, so suggest what to do ahead.
Pour in!
Also the weird one has gone more leafier! Check it out.

Also notice how fan leaves on the 2nd tier and 1st are stopping some light to go to the nodes.
Just a random thought, think about topping?
Peace

I think you can safely assume the funky looking one is not our favourite plant.

The stipules are not crossed, which for me says that they are not showing masculinity so I would tentatively say they are female until other signs show otherwise.

Topping will allow light to reach the lower nodes, but will slow them down for a few days, but will also break the apical dominance and allow the lower nodes to develop into multiple main stems and make them bushier.

38 - 40 degrees is very hot and they should definitely be kept well watered.

Crossed stipules means they "could" be male or is that a fur sure?? I've never heard that one and am always looking for a good way to figure sex out as I run a lot of REG seeds.

Plants look healthy and happy... outdoor growing, do you want to top them?? I've never grown outside so I have no idea!

I wouldn't rely just on crossed stipules giving a hint at sex. It's only "could." Maybe for some stains it can be an indicator. But it's best to wait for actual girl and boy sex parts to make a final diagnoses. :)

As a for sure? I don't know, but hundreds of years ago in a land far, far away, I used to plant a lot of regular bag seeds and always used this method. When there were maybe three nodes of growth I would check and pull all with crossed stipules and never once got males. Hermies occasionally, but never males. Did I inadvertently pull some females? Maybe.

I should add that I only ever used this on young sproutlings and never when they were older and have seen flowering plants with crossed stipules a few times.
