First Grow!

Yeah, you gave him the solution. he is using HPS in Veg. It's the wrong light spectrum & that is probably why they are slower. Nothing bad will happen, because you can go through the entire grow with an HPS. It just takes longer.
 
Hey Guys i'm afraid i have had a bit of an accident with my bushy lil mazar while,taking her into the bathroom for a watering and photo shoot one of the ties caught on the door handle and this happened

Now i am real p*ssed off with myself for not taking more care when moving her.
Ididn't panic (quite proud) run downstairs got my clone dome i was just going to make her into a clone got my fluro from my fish tank and it was broke !! F*ck f*ck and double f*ck nipped back downstairs got the gorilla tape and done this

Now i can't get another light for my clone dome untill tuesday,so i'm now bolloxed and hope she survives,i am also due to flip them over the weekend would this be a good idea while she is broke ? cheers in advance guys
 
Ouch!

Is it a branch with just fan leaves or a flower site? Don't stress over it, I think it's broke off to badly and it won't recover. Think of it this way, out in nature, branches and leaves are eaten by wildlife all the time & they recover nicely.

This won't affect your flip date at all. Continue on with your plan.

You know the Mazar i topped most recent it was one of the newer tops that grew back.

It hurt you mate,i had a spewy feeling in my tummy i could have cried. I think it is a bad break and am debating weather to put it in the clone dome now,it will have a better chance of surviving in the dome i think,another problem is i haven't prepped for cloning i was going to do it tomorrow grrrrr lol
 
that baby will heal good if you keep it pressed up against each other real tight i had one worse than that and it healed real good. just don't touch it and leave it alone and put a splint on it if you can to keep pressure off it.
i broke this whole branch the other day all the way to the bottom and it seems to be healing

I don't know Brother, I feel for you! I know that it has to be placed in Cloning gel ASAP or it may get an embolism. Try and work around it as best as you can. Am hoping for the best!
 
Cheers PeeJay,JD,SABO i'm debating weather to just try and make her a clone rather than it just die off in a few days i mean it might heal but i don't know weather to risk it :-(

I looked at CO finest vids on youtube and he only leaves the rockwool(i couldnt remember the name of the stuff he uses) soak for 10-15 mins as i was going to leave them soak 24 hours i don't know what to do !
I can't really put the clone dome in the grow tent because i'm switching to 12/12 over weekend and don't know if that will be enough hours of light i was going to shade the dome and use the reflection off the sidewalls for light really don't know arrgghh !!

I wouldn't use that branch as a clone - it is already shocked. It's important to use a very healthy and hydrated cut for a clone.

He soaks for 10 mins cuz they are drenched by then. 24h has no good reason. He says so in his video .. more or less. Given the advice given, I would sit it out and check what happens ... and use it as learning material ;)
 
yeah it makes sense Planet J to only soak them for 10-15 mins because all the water they can absorb is done within 10-15,but because i am a noob and was my first attempt i was going to follow the stuff i have read here on 420 untill i watched CO's vids that is lol
 
Hi VG the clones don't need a lot of light but they do need the 18 hrs. a lot of humidity and little light and you should be ok. Trimming the tips of the leaves is a must to I think. That's what saved the first 6 I took. I hope everything goes good with the clones its a little stress full. Good luck :cheertwo:
 
Cheers JD i just went up to check before the branch was all squint and looked rough and it's now turned towards the light.This is the plant in the bath it went into the tent the same way with the snapped branch facing the back so where i was taking pics from it was facing away from me
