Hey everyone, this is my first grow and journal ever...and i have decided to use some unknown genetics but I've had a pretty rough start.

I have the seedlings in a 5x2 closet, 2ft 8in off the ground with the light 1ft away.Lighting runs 18/6 under a Philips slim style soft white 10.5w bulb(60w replacement;800 lumens;light appearance:red-2700k) during sunrise/late night(6am-10am;10pm-12am) and a GE led daylight 6.5w bulb (60w replacement;530 lumens;light appearance:white-5000k) with plastic bags over them for humidity. They are in cans with peat moss and vermiculite and perlite,ph and humidity are unknown until i get a thermometer and ph pen which will be soon.

These plants were my original grow, which only the plant on the left survived .

I was really disappointed when my first plant died,it was doing fine one day,

Suddenly it started curling inwards

Steadily it got worse

And worse

I was disappointed waking up to this

My second plant died the same way, and I'm worried my third plant faces the same fate.I figured it might've been a combination of light stress , water on leaves and overwatering or ph.I'm still bummed but with hands on failure comes experience.

Hello Wayne2 thanks for the input and yes i will re read several websites i have visited, do you have any recommendations where i should visit? And as for lights do you think it'd be fine if i left the soft white on all day with the other bulbs like this since i am trying to have my plants short and thank you for the input.

I would water every 5 days or when i felt medium was 2 in. dry and i would water towards the stem not outwards. Im sure thats my first mistake and in that picture the light was like 3 in. , i now put it at 1ft above plants

Have 4 15 watt cfls and a 65 W grow light on the seedlings I leave the 65 w about 16 in away and the cfls are usually about 4 to 6 inches away

I added the bags to add moisture while germinating but I've removed the bags now and added airflow to my plants and total wattage is 180w at 6 in. above plants
