Okay, I have an update but it might not help much more than the last picture. Hopefully some of you are good at spotting things in blurry photos...

Well my original friend had to pass Xena to another one of my friends because their apartment was being serviced. My poor plants are like orphans going from one house to another. Anyways, the new plant sitter was able to provide me with some more pictures, albeit not very good quality. I am going to give em a call tomorrow and figure this out once and for all.

Xena seems to have grown a fair amount, my friend said about a foot tall.

I asked for some close-ups of some branches and these are the pictures I got. Don't know if I can really see anything.

One more update with some pictures, this time I was able to get a friend with a 5 megapixel camera on his phone to send me pictures. Now they aren't close up but are more clear than previous ones.

I really like this picture, it shows all the delicious crystals all over the leaves. I am really excited and plan to plant a few more of these seeds when I return.

Now in this picture the 2nd node from the top, are those hairs? I still can't tell 100% since I haven't seen a female before and these pictures are not great. But if anyone can verify I would appreciate it.

hard to say with 100% certantity... but I would say with very good probability,, that it is a girl...

That is what I am leaning towards as well, so hard to do without decent quality pictures. I should be back home in a little over a week so I am getting anxious.

I don't see the little white hairs in the photos. All of my females were determined by the top nodes sprouting very tiny white pistils out the sides. There are very small at first and then the plant will continue to produce them in pairs. The good news is I don't see any pollen sacks so its a very good chance you have a lovely lady on your hands.

Okay I am finally back home! I have an update and some pretty bad news...

My soon to be grow cab is missing and I am trying to track it down but at the moment it seems to be gone. The real bummer is I left all my CFLs and things in a box inside the cabinet. If I can't find it I guess I am going to have to make my own out of something...

Also I got Xena back from my friend and I don't actually see any fully formed preflowers, nothing with pistils at least... I have Xena sitting in my cab on 12/12 till I can tell. Xena grew soo much my LST was kinda out the window but I wrapped her around and seems to be sitting well. If she shows pistils I will attempt to flower in this cabinet until I can get something else.

Xena has been drinking tons of water and I have been dosing with some flowering nutes and seems to be loving em.

I think she is root bound but I dont know if I have room for a bigger pot, should I try to find a wider pot?

I plan to get some stuff in the next few days and start some new seeds as backup.

I also seem to have lost my thermometer/hydrometer so will try and get a nicer one next time.

Light set-up at the moment, I only have my two 26w 6500k bulbs and a 16w 2700k right now but I should be buying lights today.

I figured the leaves wouldn't be much of an issue since it was only a few fan leaves.

Well I had that cabinet and I planned on stashing it at a friend's house for the summer. He was going to be moving out and another close friend moving in right behind him so I would just get the cabinet from the new friend. It was okayed to stay in the house and the cleaners had put it back in apparently so I going to have my friend ask the owner what happened. There was apparently a PS2 and some other junk in the cabinet too and nothing illegal just some grow supplies it sure did look sketchy haha.

dude,, that sucks about the grow cab,,, hopefully you get it back,, some landlords can be shady like that and take what is 'left' in an apartment,,, hopefully that is not the case here...

your girls look good,, I would definately repot if you can,, aftwe that long in their pots,, I would think they would be close to being rootbound if not already...

HZ should I try and find a shallow wide pot so the roots can grow out and fill up my cab or maybe attempt to shorten a larger pot. I am going to attempt to flower in my little cab for now with some LST help. Still not sure if it is a female! These preflowers do look a lot more like pistils instead of what Pandora had so she should show her pistils soon.

I haven't been getting much of anything done except smoking it seems...

We have pistils!!!

I came back home just now and found pistils so I snapped a few photos; made my day! I can't believe how well Xena has been doing since I put her back into the cab with some LST!

I think this is day 4 or 5 of 12/12. She is getting huge and I keep feeding her nutes and she drinks her pot up in 1 day. Definitely root bound I can see roots all under the top soil.

I will probably be going to the store in a few to look for a bigger pot as well as more lights since I lost all of my flowering bulbs when I lost my cabinet. No news on that yet...

One thing I have noticed that is strange is the growth pattern of new growth, one leaf will grow in faster than the other, it is like that on all the new growth all over the plant. It ends up evening out after a while but I just thought it was strange.

Major bummer today, found spider mites all over Xena. I figured it would happen since she was in surrogate care for so long, does anyone have any advice? She is still exploding pistils all over the place. Pictures soon. Please help!

Okay well I have been doing a little research, the lights are off right now but tomorrow I plan to bring Xena into the shower and blast her with some water to remove most of the spider mites and then make a spray with some oil/soap or alcohol. Maybe I will look into Neem oil. I am trying to get this under control before it gets too out of control.

I went to the store and picked up some lights, I have 5 26 watt bulbs in there right now. Also picked up a large pot and cut it down to size. My buddy is going to give me some perlite tomorrow so I will be re-potting her tomorrow.

I found a recipe for the oily soap water in this thread : Homemade Pest Control

It seems to be working quite well. I substituted orange oil extract in place of cooking oil. Mainly because I didn't want my plants smelling like french fries

Just give a spray rinse of water only after 30-60 mins. It seems to be knocking down the mites. I plan on Neem and Azamax sometime next week. I just don't have the money right now to do it. So far the mites are retreating. Hope this helps!!!

Sorry for the late post but I made brownies and ate a few too many yesterday.

Strangely my spider mites have retreated back, possibly because of the high temps I have had recently in my cab. Not sure exactly what they were since I can't find my thermometer but Xena doesn't seem to mind the heat. Looks healthiest whenever I just pull the door off and it is piping hot inside. If they show up again I will try that recipe, thanks GD.

Anyways she accidentally suffered a few burned leaves on the main cola when it came untied overnight. I caught it right after the lights came on but the few spots are brown.

I was unsure on whether repotting was a good idea but I went ahead and did it anyways since I already bought the pot. I hope she doesn't stress too much. I will see in an hour when the lights come on.

Thanks 619ster! I am so happy to finally have a female. It has been so frustrating to be given males or problems until now, and even this hasn't been easy!

Xena seems to be doing fine with the transplant, maybe a bit of a slow in growth but no adverse affects. Still loving her toasty temps (thankfully) and the aroma whenever I open the cab is great. I know it will just keep getting better.

I am lovin it! No I am not eating McDonalds I am sittin here stoned watching Xena. She is amazing looking, there are so many buds all over the place!

I accidentally cooked her yesterday since I forgot to crack the box before I left for the day. She sat and baked for 5 hours and when I got home the box must have been over 100 degrees but Xena didn't really look too stressed. Her leaves were flexible since she was transpiring so much but I am really liking the heat resistance she is showing.
