First Grow - Soil - LED Twin 900 Watt - Raindance Strain Equilibrium Genetics

It's hard to discern deficiencies at this early stage so I wouldn't do anything about it beyond keep an eye on it. It's well within the range of possibilities that 1 of 12 is not as strong, just as one of the 12 grew faster than the rest! Like any other seeds, no two are going to be exactly alike. See if the third and fourth set of leaves continues to have this problem. You mentioned having to cull anyway so this one might be on that list.

Yep. Very true. I have 3 that the genetics look a little odd. Like they are showing sativa because their leaves are a bit narrower. To early to tell, but the journey is starting to get interesting. In the mean time I'm gonna put this brat in the corner opposite direct light light for a couple days. Let him/her think about it's actions.

Let the fun begin

So here we are. Week two officially starting!!! Getting ready to re-pot in another week. I'm thinking about starting nutes (gh flora line). Soon. Looks like the kid I put in the corner for a couple days is turning around. A couple more days in the corner for it. Temp is good. Struggling a little it on the humidity. As we call it "Indian summer" in California. I put a big wet towel in my tent when lights turn on at 6pm. That keeps the humidity at around 48% til about 8am. They do not appear to be complaining.

So far, so good.

Day 15.

Looks like the kids are coming along swimmingly!!! Temps have been in the mid to upper 70's and humidity in the mid 30's since my last post. I gave them a solid watering with 1/4 strength Gen Hydro nutes for the first time Monday and they look like they loved it. I'll be repotting to 1/2 gal pots in ff soil on Friday for 2 weeks or till they are sexed. Looks like they're getting ready to show their sex. Once I have confirmed females I'll be transferring to 5 or 7 gallon pots. Depending on how many females I have. I have a feeling it will be more than 6.

My New Grow

Kids get a new home!

Day 19: temp is a mild 77 and humidity is at 41. Transplanted all to 1/2 gallon pots. Last night I decided to give them a healthy watering with 1/4 strength gh flora line week 2 chart recommendations with a ph of 6. I figured it was time to add a little more food. They were looking a bit wilty. They were super happy this morning!

Root structure looks really good on 10/12. 2 of them had 1/2 the root structure and did not hold the soil together upon removing them from the pong cups. There did not seem to be any stress. Just runts of the litter.

I'm still only using one of my 900 watt led. I'm sure by next weekend I'll be flipping the other light on.

After potting I just gave them a bit of water to settle the FFOM soil. Ph 6. I also ordered a clip on microscope for my phone. I highly recommend getting one as the detail on the stipules is pretty cool.

Close up of stipule. Looks like that bump to the right will be either a male or female.

Those are some healthy girls, good job!

Thanks OG. I appreciate the props. I've done lots of research here and in my opinion it is a group effort by gleaning off others journals. Any suggestions are always appreciated as well!! This is my first indoor grow.

Next step is build my scrog and start topping after they've adjusted to the transplant.

How long should I wait?

Puff and peace.

I'm a very new grower too, in about mid flower with my plant right now

I wouldn't wait to top those girls because when you do it, the undergrowth blows up it's incredible so I would say do it whenever you think they are ready, I've always heard that transplanting stresses your plant and what I've come to realize is the transplant is an initial shock doesn't last that long and then they blow up from the transplant... pretty amazing plants I expect to see your girls grow fast with the upsize you gave them and I think a topping is like a double whammy, I'm not an expert I would like to reiterate that fact. Hope this helps

Well let's top them when they wake up in about 4 hours.

Very nice. I subbed in!

How's the girls

The girls are fine. Thanks for asking. They've taken to transplanting just fine. I chose to wait a few more days to top. There were only 3 nodes on most of the plants When in transplanted thEm. They are stretching out a lil bit and I'll be topping them in the next couple days. I'll post pics tonight.

Day 20

So I got the kids a trim. It felt kind of alien clipping their heads off but therapeutic at the same time. One of the slower sprouts wasn't ready to top. We'll give it a week. Temp/hum 80/30, nutes. Same as last feeding. Humidity was in the 50's last day or two. Indian summers' last gasp. This is starting to get interesting.

Day 23.

One female plant appears to be confirmed! I upped the nutes to week 3 1/4 strength gh nutes and added rapid start for roots and floroliscious plus 1/4 strength. Ph of 6. I also tested the runoff and it tested at 6.0 ph as well. Looking good thus far.

I also adjusted light height to 24 inches. Looked like a couple were stretching a bit more than the rest so I contacted the vendor that sold me the grow room kit and they promptly sent me the recommended light chart. I was off by about a foot. So I lowered it and will monitor for too much light. As I was checking the plants individually for any issues I pulled out my microscope and found this:

Good day fellow farmers today is day 26 of my journey. All my plants seem to be responding about as well as can be expected. Remember, this is my very first indoor grow ever. Second grow overall. Hopefully I am not going to jinx my garden. But as always, my efforts and results are based on two things. Reading others journals and patience. So here it goes.

Shout out to OG Kush 911. You weren't kidding about topping! as soon as I topped, within 2 days the under growth blew up! some of the under growth on some of them shot past the top two fan leaves to get more light. That was surprising. On the next grow I will have to top sooner. I cannot easily anchor them as they have grown too tall. Oh well, lesson learned. I was able to tie some of the lower branches down to an extent. It is what it is.

As far as sexing, no real change. One has showed signs on female the other 11 have not. All of the plants are very uniform in terms of leaf and branch symmetry, except one. One has a little different look to it. Not as defined and almost "stringy" Could I be lucky (or not) to have 11 females. I hope not because that will really change my direction from scrog.

Last night I gave them a generous watering (flushing). I thought I could wait 3 days between watering but one plants leaves started to canoe a little. A lot actually. I just ran my well water with a ph of 6.5 and checked runoff. I ran 48 oz of water through the 1/2 gallon pots. I also checked the runoff and the PH was 6. The leaves were nice and healthy looking this morning.

Temps running mid 70's and the humidity is in the upper 40's lights on, Mid 50's to 60s lights out.
Since they look really healthy I decided to lower my light 2 inches. Why? I want to make subtle incremental changes to see what happens. A baby step here and there to see what happens. Nothing drastic. Looks like ill be firing up the other 900 watter led next week. Theyre gonna be fighting for light pretty quick.

Took one of the kids out in the natural sunlight. They all pretty much look like this.

All 12 under light and natural light

Thanks for reading.

puff puff pass!!!!
