First Grow On A Budget

How's it growing mate?

Hey Squiggle, it's going well I think lol... She is growing strong and consistent. I have since moved her into a closet as the gf said it's to friggin bright just in the corner of the kitchen lol(picture posted). But I've been trimming her and tying her back to allow more light to hit the bottom canopy. She is still being watered every 3-4 days with nutrients from fox farm trio (4 teaspoons of each in 1 gallon of water) and she is sucking it right up. But I am slightly confused as to what stage she is in... She still small but is growing pistils everywhere.... So should I throw her into a 12/12 or keep doing the 6-7/18-17? Thank you for checking in, it's nice to see someone other than myself interested to see how this goes

Shes really responded well to that light. That picture of it projecting a rainbow on the floor is pretty cool.
The few pistil hairs, is her telling you she's female and she's mature enough to go into flower whenever you are ready. You can keep her in veg for as long as you like. It all depends on how big you want her to grow. Or you could flip her now to 12/12 now and have a small harvest. The choice is yours. She looks really health mate, Nice work

Thank you, I'm trying not to go half assed on this even tho going fairly cheap...lots of reading and research but yea I may keep her in veg for another week or two since she is growing nicely and then switch. Now that I know I CAN do it I will be looking into getting some autos and see what I can do.

Cool. Keep updating mate. I'm interested to see her develop..
You're getting the addiction by the sounds of it. Theres loads of auto's to choose from.. look at what effects you like from a smoke and pick an auto that suits your needs. But yeah! Keep reading and researching, this site is the perfect tool for that.. as your questions get answered in person..

Haven't heard heaven I've heard the poltergeist closet or alien gate way lol my buddy said he's going to bring over white panda paper to block the light from the inside. Thanks for stopping in

Hi mate. I would be careful what you block the light off with, just for fire safety. There's a grower on here that had a catastrophic fire due to panda film and a faulty light.. panda film is very flammable.. I will find the link

I decided I don't mind the beaming rainbow coming from the closet personally....and my kid loves the color that bleeds through to the floor, she takes her crayons and paper and tries to trace the light and colors...but thanks for the tip on that, last I want is to have all my stuff go up in smoke without at least getting a little buzz

Thank you, I'm trying lol I've never had a green thumb and have basically killed every plant I've look at. so for her to at least look healthy is shocking to me.

Ok it's been a few days and I love watching this little beauty grow up. I have lowered the veg nutrients (2 teaspoons p/g) and have upped the big bloom (1/2 cup p/g) and tiger bloom (4 teaspoons p/g). I have her at a 6a.m to 6p.m (12/12) schedule as it's now matches my work times perfect. I did remove 2 huge leaves from the plant as one a big 3 point under the plant wasn't getting any light anymore. And then a 5 point towards the top that was blocking a couple grow points of tiny 7 pointers....and from the looks of things she appreciated the trim. But thanks again as always for stopping.

I have also since taken in the "experiment" my gf was working on and I'm going to try my best to save it it went from doing good to literally like dying over night... I don't know what she did... But I cleaned off all the black stems and leaves, it's still showing signs of small new growth... And I have new dirt arriving Friday from fox farms... Idk if she can be saved ... But I need to try I feel bad lol

HAPPY HALLO-GREEN everyone!

It's only been a few days, not to much new to report other than she now is starting to grow the head pistils <3 WOOHOO.... but I trimmed more of the bigger growth back which revealed so many new heads ( from 9 to now 15), and I will only do this one more time if necessary I don't want to mess things up by over pruning. I'm finding that I must move the light up roughly 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches every 36 hours as that's the pace of her stretch... Idk if that's good growth or slow I'm not sure lol but the little lady looks happy and I think I'm starting to get the grow addiction . I have started with the nutrients which said once a week and have been watering them every 2-3 days and using a 18-6 light schedule as that's my sleep schedule lol. And over the course of 8 days (day 24) they seem to have really perk'd up . And I was right the third plant died indefinitely and I tossed the other germinated seeds.
